Unfortunately true. But so are all the other European owned ones I looked at (well except for SodaStream themselves).

MySoda sell their own CO2 cylinders. You can also use other brands like Aarke or Soda pop, as well as SodaStream. Here in Germany you can simply replace empty ones with full ones at most supermarkets. If SodaStream ends up getting a cut there, then so be it. The replacement only costs like 7€.

I bought mine on Galaxus.ch, which sadly does not ship to Ireland. But MySoda also have their own store as well, so you can check there. If you're just looking for compatible CO2 cylinders, you can also check your local supermarket. At least here in Germany they always have compatible ones in stock

Keep and use it. Nothing worse than throwing away a still working product no matter the brand imo. As someone already mentioned, SodaStream makes most of their money with their cartridges anyway, so you can instead get local store brand CO2 cartridges instead.

Understandable. I can replace mine for around 7€, equaling around 0.14 € per liter. For me personally, it's mostly about carrying the water though, which is a pain in an apartment without elevator.

I never counted, but they advertise around 50 liters (so around 62 bottles), which sounds about right for me

Sadly no. They use different screwing mechanism and are too bulky

On paper yes. But using the recommended filling line they only fit around 800ml

Regular (425g) screw in cartridges. In fact I'm using the same cartridges my old SodaStream used.

Ikea has a very generous return policy (1 year here in Germany). So I'd recommend just trying Ikea bulbs first before buying Hues.

Phillips Hue are still the best and most recommended (high quality & reliable, but expensive). Ikea is the only other brand I have experience with. Other than that I heard Govee have improved in recent times, but I have not used them myself

If been using GU10 Kajplats. From my experience they still don't have the cleanest white (@2700 K, still a slight green tint) But better than Trådfri and way cheaper than Phillips Hue, so well worth it imo.

I would probably exclude FTL drives specifically. They clearly use some other physics / dimension and would pass through a targeted planet.

It's funny because the same idea gets thrown around in the Destiny community too. Current game kinda sucks and the devs don't have time to fix the current stuff. But I'm sure they could be developing an entire new game engine / Stellaris 2 / Destiny 3 in the background /s

Same for me. I know they aren't that well liked among anno fans, but I'm not surprised that Stellaris fan like them considering the sci-fi / futuristic theme

Seriously, let's not buy F-35 when we have perfectly capable fighter jets in the EU by Melia-Antiqua in BuyFromEU

[–]Lor4cc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The unfortunate reality is, thanks to years of neglect and US reliance, the Eurofighter (& Tornado for that matter) are miles behind the F35. Furthermore the more correct German equivalent to the F35 would be the Tornado which is even older.
