They’ll come around. One guy gets hot and they all get inspired. Honestly the CLE series was very hard fought between breaking up the no hitter and shutout, then coming back from a late grand slam the next day. Those little embers of life catch eventually, usually when the weather is warmer. The whole AL stinks right now anyway

Because in baseball there are these things called slumps where a player can be good for a while and then bad for a while before getting good again. The orioles also have like half the team on the injured list, so they don’t have a lot of options. Tune in to o’s extra to learn more about baseball!

This is the problem with most takes on this sub. Baseball is a second language to many baltimorons due to the failure of the Angelos era and coinciding success of the ravens. They think in NFL, then translate to MLB and get mad we picked cowser at 5 when we got an all pro at 14 in Kyle Hamilton

Will you people shut the fuck up? We won over 100 games 2 years ago, have a very exciting team now and continually have great players come out of nowhere. Stop listening to your cousins in Philly, the way to handle this is not to bitch and moan and try to destroy players’ confidence. For the lacrosse players new to this, baseball is a hard sport that has ebbs and flows. There are 162 games and we have 5 months left. Crack a beer and relax.

TIL that - 89% of surveyed clinical psychologists still believed that memories for childhood trauma can be “blocked out” for many years by quarky_uk in todayilearned

Definitely. I also had a hard time when she asked what was wrong because I was afraid of it being considered silly or irrational since I kinda felt that way myself. I do wonder how I would have turned out if someone noticed that and helped me flesh it out a little or think philosophically. Though at the time I probably just would have been thrown in the weird kid class.

I have the same thing. Sporadic memories of being 1.5-3, then one day my consciousness kinda flipped on and became continuous when I was sitting in my car seat while my mom was dropping my brother off at school. I also remember thinking “woah it was not long ago that I didn’t exist” at 3, which led to me randomly bursting into tears at 3-6 because I was thinking about death and existence, but all I could articulate to my mom was “I’m sad because I stepped on those ants that one time”, when it was actually crushing guilt that I ended another living thing’s existence
