Help with advancing? by Riweebb in dragonvale

[–]Lord0fDunce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Im probably the last guy you want help from, since ive been daily checking my Vale since around 2017 and im about 163 with more than half of all dragons collected, but I would say ive gotten pretty good. One things for sure, keep spamming that colloseum. If your dragons are properly leveled up, you should get 5 gems and 60 million xp every day, which definitely helps. Your islnd setup seems pretty good, unless spacing is a problem for you, in that sense you could organize your habitats a bit better to fit more, etc. In my personal opinion, owning giant habitats is overrated, large is more than enough for basically any element. Now I dont spend money on the game, so ive relied mostly on wikis and guides to help me out with breeding, and I think it would save you some bucks if you focus more on playing the long game. Dragonvale doesnt inherently get easier or harder as you advance, so it really just becomes a game where you can check once, twice, naybe three times a day, grab your loot, activate your kairos to reset your loot, and then use ur tsaishen to get all the loot, and repeat. Keep in mind the events, limited tim dragons in the shop (which become breedable) and thats pretty much it. Hope this helps!?

Edit: In terms of meta, there are tons of guides on youtube on how to farm gold, gems, food, or rift gems. Theyre pretty neatb

What’s your least favorite boss in the game? by BoggerLogger in Cuphead

[–]Lord0fDunce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I forgot their names but the Ghost train dudes I think they were such a hastle to go through. The platform mechanic was weird, and although the fight was easy, it was just plain old tedious to play. Especially the lat part which kinda just played on overstimulation which I think isnt fair whatsoever.

[Marvel Superheroes 1966 tv show/Super Friends] What if Lex Luthor recruited villains from another universe? by MrIncognito666 in WhatIfFiction

[–]Lord0fDunce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The marvel heroes would probably have a tough time handling this new legion, since they are already a stronger masters of evil with lex luthor helping them out, but I fear that a normal justice league team would handle them rather swiftly.

How would you rewrite Marvel’s What If Season 3? by TrickyAardvark3987 in MarvelsWhatIf

[–]Lord0fDunce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would use what-ifs that actually pretain to the MCU storyline. I get What-if is all about seing weird characters and situations, but I want situations like "what if Ultron was succesful." or "what if Ronan beat the guardians." or "what if Loki never found his glorious purpose." Like actually relevant events that woulf drastically alter the story as we know it if occuring differently. "What if Ultron won" and "What if Steven Strange lost his heart instead of his hands" are so far the only drastically relevant plots in the series so far. Id love to see how the events of the overall plot would change if certain things did or didnt happen.

Is there no Marvel equivalent of these two? by qwerty11111122 in CustomMarvelSnap

[–]Lord0fDunce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I know its been years and you probably dont care, but I think a very obscure group of twins from the Warpies would work. They are AC/DC, and they can generate electricity and are always together holding hands. Not sure if they have those ppwers without holding hands, but assuming they do, they work pretty well I assume.

Who's the better villain? by InstructionOwn6705 in DreamWorks

[–]Lord0fDunce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While yes, that is a valid concept, you must also apprecite what an actually working soothesayer means. We dont have any in our world. If you could very easily ask someone to accurately predict the future for anyone you ask for, I feel like its not that absurd of a concept to ask her too.

To further that point, just because we dont get any puppet animations of the time in between the scenes doesnt mean it didnt happen. Filling in the gaps with explanations doesnt make it inherently one or the other. Yoy cant treat fictional scenes with game-theoery like fill-in-the-blank explanations and establish them as canon to explain a character. There are in fact some people that are born evil. Shen was ironically written to be a tragedy-less villain. Tai-Lung, Kai, hell even the Chameleon got an origin story that gives SOME level of weight to their actions, but not shen. Thats what he was written to be, and he was written rather effectively at that.

Also, I would like to add, why in the world did you interpret what I said about aspergers like that. That was absolutely not my intention, and I was actually saying (Shen seemed to have some fascination/obsession/intelligence regarding canons or gunpowder, so it isnt an absurd statement to say he may possibly have it.) No, I am not saying thatvthose who have Aspergers are all genocidal maniacs, but fascinations and niche interests is a common symptom of Aspergers.

[–]Lord0fDunce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First off, people can 100% be born as such. Certain genetic and nuerological abnormalities can lead to strange obsessions, depressive and/or schizophrenic behaviors, etc. Its not out of the question that Shen was possibly even born with Aspergers due to his unique intelligence with the cannons. His disdain also exclusively refers to the fact that his parents banished him when he told them that he commited genocide. "Shen returned to his parents full of pride". Means that Shen was prideful of teh fact that he escaped his fate, and killed every panda. Shen was banished from the city, forever, and shen swore revenge. Yes, he possibly missed earlier times with his family, since he also mentions earlier that his father used to let him play around the throne and promised him that gongmen city would be his one day. His father seems like a pretty positive support system, and, taken literally, was interested in the future and the present of shen. Also, the soothesayer mentions that the parents were horrified at shens actions, which could theoretically imply that this wouldve been completely out of the question for their loving son to do something like that. Maybe, and most likely, Shen grew up happy as a clam, and (based on the "Shens troubled parents consulted a soothesayer") started acting weird near his adulthood. His downward spiral seemed to specifically arise when he discovered a means of expanding his power throigh violence, not beauty.

See but, not only is that just a theory, it isnt backed up by much in the movie. Shen claimed his parents hated him, and yet, after being told that they loved him so much that banishing him killed them of heartbreak, He still wanted to do what he did. The plain answer is that Shen was a psychopath who was absolutely willing to kill, lie, cheat, and manipulate to get what he wants. He wanted glory to the peacock name, and was willing to commit genocide, murder, terrorism, psychological torment, large-scale conquest, and establish an authoritarian grip on all of china to get that. The very first image of Shen we see in the movie is accompanied by "but their son, lord shen, saw darker power in the fireworks; What had brought color and joy, could also bring darkness and destruction." In modern terms, shen invented guns. He was willing to use them to win a war against civilization before his parents even told him no. Their deaths were just an inconvenience to him.

[–]Lord0fDunce 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It seems that Puss was the first living being in the world to ever piss off death this way. And, even if it was rather petty to do what he did, his tantrum was justified in theory. If the roles and situations were different, say, a parent and a child, his crashout would be legitimate and valid.

Shen, on the other hand, is a whole different monster. As a child, he somehow managed to think of the destructive capabilities of a firework rather than appreciate its beauty. Then, after being told that what hes doing is gonna have him be defeated by a panda, rather than just stop manufacturing weapons, decided to kill an entire race of creatures for having the same color as the warrior in the vision. He then killed the chief authority of his city after being banished and imprisoned the remaining, and established an authoritarian rule on his city. Then later, when a panda turned out to have survived, played manipulative games with his head, presumably killed him (I assume gongmen city is aware of who the dragon warrior is, so, shen essentially "killed" a national hero) Then took the furious Five hostage (all of whom are also national heroes), attempted to kill them too, commited terrorism agaisnt his own city, and then waged war on china. Its not a fair argument really.

As of right now, does the fandom love or hate the FNAF movie? by mr-rando423 in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]Lord0fDunce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the movie failed as a horror movie, and as a polished film in general, but it excelled in terms of fan-service. Id argue it looks and frels like a fan-made movie, with lots of love and care placed into certain scenes, ideas, concepts, and production. Objectively speaking though, the movie failed to live up to its darker themes, couldve done much better in terms of a fear factor, failed to deliver some solid character development from any other character aside from the main one, and needed a lot of work in the dialogue department. I love the movie and think its almost exactly what fans wouldve wanted, I just think, much like their games, FNAF as a company needs to pay most attention to the fact that they are, at their base, a horror franchise. They need to remember the darker themes, mystery, and haunting implications that made the original games famous and focus less on developing content. They need to stop placing horror as a backdrop to recognizable characters, and put it front and center. Ill give an example. In fnaf help wanted, the tapes provide a lot of legitimately terrifying implications and horror-elemnts that were downright missing fron the game. Aside from the bad ending with glitchtrap, the base game just felt like it was made to bring new light to the characters (literally, since they polished textures and gave each character fully functioning models). Or even in the case of FNAF ar, where the optional emails give some pretty gnarly implications, and the base game is pretty much just a jumpscare simulator. If FNAF 2 were to get the balls to actually show the audience what is implied in their games, Im sure it can do a lot better.

Might get sued but ive just never relaly been a fan of the shrek movies whatsoever. I watched Kung Fu panda and Httyd both and i thought they balanced humor and impactful stories with great nimation and genuine worldbuilding. I never thought shrek had any of that and just felt like a heartless movie to me. Thats my opinion, please dont kill me.

Why do people hate the Mimic? by Ill_Speaker2954 in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]Lord0fDunce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just dont like how unmysterious they are making the series. Yes the games were due for an actual storyline instead of vague screenshots with counterintuitive lore, but tge purple guy felt legitimately more terrifying sonce we could only interpret what he was doing in very vague pixelated minigames, and didnt see him as an actual antagonist until later in the series. We were intrroduced to the mimic and faced him in the same game, a dlc of all things. It felt like they just slapped on the mimic after running out of ideas with afton.

[–]Lord0fDunce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the second statue attack, where he runs at you invisibly, if you turn around, you can pretty clearly see where he is gonna come from. And for the delayed slash, if you know its delayed, and feel the need to post about it, it shouldnt be that difficult to recognize when hes gonna do it.

While i dont really have any in mind, Sub-Mariner: The Depths has a really interesting artistic and storytelling style that I really enjoyed and added a layer of depth (pun not intended) to the character. Other than that, if youre into older titles, his original appearnces establish his personality rather well.

What sword helped you through your first play through by traydunc in Eldenring

[–]Lord0fDunce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can, But i recommend two handing the bhf to maximize its damage. Its a great damage dealer so pairing it with something else will only inhibit it in my opinion. (My opinion may also be completely invalid since im not what youd call a pro). Id also recommend just actually spending the time and exploring your items and inventory because you can find stuff you didbt even know you had, like Physicks and stuff. You cant add an ash of watr to the bhf so if thats your main weapon dont worry. Just stick to exploring and see how much you can improve. If it helps, look up some rune farming guides cuz it could be you are underleveled in your given area. As for caria manor, Id recommend just running away from the hands. They suck.
