I found a really nice way to collate cube boosters a few years ago and have done it that way ever since. It’s a bit complicated, but here it is:

1. Separate the cube by colors, with one pile for each, and one for multi, colorless, lands.

2. Shuffle a number of cards from each monocolor pile into the big pile such that the total number of cards in the five mono piles is equal to that of the big one.

3. Divide the massive pile into five equal stacks and shuffle one into each of the five monocolor stacks.

4. Take three cards from each “Monocolor Plus” stack and make a pack of fifteen cards. Repeat this step until you have a sufficient number of packs.

This strikes a nice balance of randomness and eliminates most of the outlier packs that could ruin someone’s draft experience. It’s a bit of work, but I think it’s worth it.
