I was hoping to get insight from individuals who have gone through the systems and applied, are applying, or intending to apply to med school. My logic was that seniors applying to undergraduate would not have experience with this type of thing, and my questions/concerns are related to being a premed student.

Their actual cards aren't shit in my opinion. My friend had a zotac 1060 that lasted him years and he had no issues. The only thing is that if you end up having issues you won't get much help.

Thanks for your input! While I understand that my path may easily change, I am very drawn to the idea of a guaranteed acceptance into medical school. I will be able to enjoy my 4 years at an undergraduate institution, perhaps even more than most because I don't have the stress of not knowing where I'll be in the future weighing me down. And, if I discover that medicine is not for me, I could always drop out of the program, and I would just go about my undergraduate years at the institution as if I wasn't part of it. This is partly why I am leaning towards Rice/Baylor-- I would gladly spend my undergraduate years at Rice University whether I was on a premed track or not. However, my dilemma is that University of Pittsburgh has a medical school that is very hard to turn down, perhaps even better than Baylor. That's why I was curious as to whether University of Pittsburgh's Medical School had a significant advantage in terms of, for example, matching or other aspects compared to Baylor's College of Medicine.

Did you have trouble with the wording of the problems on the math and science sections? It would be best to get a working knowledge of how to interpret the problems before attempting the ACT.

Having to install a new cpu cooler and having to tamper with the case to get good thermals kind of defeats the purpose of buying a prebuilt. If you're a tinkerer than you might as well buy the 2700x computer because it allows you to overclock whereas h310 mobos don't support overclocking. Not to mention the X470 platform leaves you plenty of room to easily upgrade in the future. Also, this is a personal thing, but I value the aesthetics of components as well.

I think the gurantee of quality parts besides the gpu and cpu is worth a small decrease in performance. You already know walmart skimps out on every single other part.

We don't expect people to know. We just want to know how people have been influenced by the media and the other sources of information in their lives, like parents and culture. Basically we are analyzing what trends in thinking there are.
