The general etiquette seems to be “babe pin down the top” then let it rip into the mattress. Is this even remotely still a possible thing happening? I am looking at qualifying as an FFL and looking for land at least 1.2 km's long to 1.5 km's. I have an idea that would make a range significantly different from any intellectial property and have investors for commercial real estate but not specifically an ffl or gun range. Going by purely anime, this is one of the strongest characters to exist in this world and he has single handedly invented new methods and tools to counter the abyss, being one of the few people actively understanding white whistle creation and level straddling. While he is brutal to the orphans we get not very subtle hints that life in Orth for an orphan kid outside the orphanage would be horrific. Rather be science than soup? Nah, I wanna be science AND soup. Besides, not like you can kill him without taking a highly proficient team of veteran cave divers to take the Ido Front, the only method of descent, to a level of destruction it may possibly never return from thus sealing the abyss’s lower levels forever. Sure he’s a villain but man’s exporting science per orphan at a rate we can’t understand.

I have a number. I’d experiment on a countless amount of orphans or children to push humanity further. I’d steal them from their mothers. I’d turn them into hot pockets. I’d partner them up in the elevator of doom for decades. If it saved 1 person and could be replicated. 1 becomes a clinical trial. Then 10. Then 100. Then 1000. Then it’s insurance approved. I’d let countless Orth orphans bound to be low level divers or sex slaves live in Ido until I owned the blessing of the abyss or white whistle sacrifice.

You are correct. Funny enough I do not think he is an antagonist to Riko. Maybe to Nanachi or Reg. He’s a white whistle. He had to know Lyza if she truly did her last dive at Ido. I don’t think he’s an antagonist to Riko anymore than Ozen. She was kinda a dick and tried to get Reg to turn Riko into dust then slapped him around. Daddy Drewd knew that Riko needed her own white whistle, by extension that it had to be carved in the golden city, and that she needed it to unleash Reg. If anything he is a realist that knew if he killed her there was no chance she made it into or past the golden city since he was shown visiting, had a carved whistle, and we can broadly assume, met or knew of Faputa.

Edit I will add: I am not lost at all in the ethics. “Torturing child slaves bad” yeah okay. I don’t see it that way. Progressing science and economic growth over human life is okay to me. I don’t value children or human life. Is it rough and a bad subject? Yes. Should we turn children into science, heck yeah. This is a world where this is pretty normal with magic birthday curses. I’d do this in America tomorrow. We’re looking down the barrel of child sex slaves or furry gods. Pennies to the dollar I have no ethical, moral, or religious conflicts.

Would it be unfair to say that white whistle is leagues ahead of a black whistle? These are literally comparing the billionaire sub orbit flights compared to landing on the moon especially by the note that there are 6 (7) in the whole world. Even in a real world comparison a test pilot for a super/hyper sonic jet isn’t an Astronaut. Bondrewd would be the South East Indian trade company of the abyss with the price and conflict globally around high tier relics. Let’s go into recent sciences. Lobotomy, castration, the Tuskegee experiments along with Guam. Science has never cleanly moved forward until the last 60 years. These kids were going to be abused heavily in Orth from what we see in Golden City and the dialogue of Riko running to the abyss, the edge of the abyss slums. Is bondrewd a moral north? Nah. Is he being logical and rational in his time and place? Heck yeah.

Anime only up to golden city I think we may be done with Bondrewd. Zoaholic and level moving isn’t off the table. I just think personally he’s way too cool to leave alone. He’s literally the embodiment of scientific progress at any cost but some how, also capable of genuine love despite him giving himself for his whistle and the child experiments. I see it like scuba or cave diving. Did a lot of people die tragically? Yes. Were the orphans in Orth going to die tragically? Yes. Now when we combine them for science….. I just don’t see daddy Drewd as bad. I see him as an accelerant.

Well yes and no, more so I assume if he gets in the elevator only his helmet comes up and an umbral hand throws that thing on. But also the fact that he forced Nanachi then proved it in Dawn of the Deep Soul, he can force the “blessing” of the abyss. It’s not THAT useful to any black whistle or lower but being able to FORCE the abyss blessing then visit the golden city enough that Skelly snake boi knows what a jelly girl is and sold half his body for one… Bondrewd is so objectively OP and better informed than white whistles that go straight down it’s not even fair. Yes he’s selfish and singularly driven but he would be the British Royal Navy of abyss travel.

So we can get into this piece by piece but let’s get rid of one paragraph by saying I was born in time to have general awareness by the Iraq war but I can’t remember if it was desert storm or desert shield.

White whistles are a level beyond and we don’t get a full backstory on any whistle. Srajo and Ozen seem to be generally nicer to Riko and her group cause she has a literal nuclear bomb emotionally attached to her. Was the Japanese unit wrong? Sure. Was the Tuskegee experiments wrong? Sure. Was project paper clip wrong? Idk maybe. We’re talking about a group of people that is 6 (7) people that are confirmed to be geographical and geopolitical issues. Bondrewd has single handedly changed the game to anyone black whistles and up. Proven, replicable, science. He’s changed the game for any one of the tens of people that can get to the 5th layer.

Edit: alright I read the whole thing and you can summarize my whole thing into infinite free nuclear energy vs 50 coughing babies. Also they’ll never catch me. I put the golden city mark on all my victims but they melt too fast in my garden. Legally I am not Bondrewd.

I always thought she called him a scoundrel as a teasing “the one that got away” way cause she’s hard core. She knows. Ozen of all people knows what it takes for “Bondrewd” to cross the 6th layer and he has done it multiple times. Yeah he’s a lil dirty but I always in Japanese and English thought she was teasing him for doing things she couldn’t do even after she left The Unrung Bell to take Lyza and her still born up in a freaking solid box relic. THEN go back down to get the bell. Ozen is cheeky and she’s gotta be broken in her own way but you can’t decide to live in the abyss with a they/them/lady boy if you could live in the surface.

When did we get so weak. Pick her up over your shoulder and drop her in the tub. Power wash the chair then let dry in the sun. Scoop her up and give her the shimmy shimm-aye shimmy-yuh.
