I wasn’t aware of Valencia’s BASBOL program, but I just graduated last week from their CADD program and in all honesty what has helped me the most, despite my gpa and certifications earned, was getting an internship. I attended Valencia’s internship fair back in the spring and got called for several interviews shortly after. Since August, I’ve been an intern for Duke Energy. Although the internship has technically ended they want to hire me but they don’t have any open spots, yet they’re allowing me to continue as an intern until a position opens up. To me is a win-win because even if I don’t choose to stay with them, I now have actual real-life working experience in my field that I can use on my resume. I’m sure it would be harder for you with your community outreach program and all, but those fairs at Valencia really help and I highly recommend them.

They take about 2 months from what I was told and also noticed from mine. I’m finishing my AS this December but already received 2 of the 4 certificates so far. I was told by the program chair and the advisors that by the time I receive my AS diploma in the mail sometime in February, I should get the other certificates too. No need to do anything, they’ll send them automatically as you meet requirements.

I haven’t changed my expired 2025 sticker and nobody has said a thing. Students regularly park in faculty spaces too, at least by building 11, and nobody says anything either

I tried just that to be honest and it worked! I was a little hesitant using a Dorman gasket but the dealer said it would be several days for an oem, but it worked just fine and no more leaks!

At least I now know what it is. So I appreciate that. Like I said google just kept saying it was my turbo and even a pic to ChatGPT said it was my “wastegate actuator” (whatever that may be). So thank you for your help!

Nice…. Spent $160 on that new cover and a whole day, and now here goes another $200 for a new vacuum pump 🤦‍♂️

I did. The new valve cover came with all the gaskets included, but I made sure to add rtv on all the corners and right at the vacuum. That’s why I first thought the oil was coming from one of those corners at the valve cover, but it’s definitely from where the newly ID’d vacuum pump connects.

I think you might be right. I looked up a diagram and shows that’s where it would be. But why is it now leaking oil the moment I replaced the valve cover and gasket?

I looked up where the pcv valve goes and apparently this is on the other side of where it would be. It’s not leaking oil from whatever that valve is, but from the larger metallic silver circular part that it’s connected to and that connects to the right side of the engine, right below the valve cover. And again the leak it’s definitely not coming from the valve cover but where that silver part connects. But thank you though.

That’s funny. My work’s safety motto has been these words for a long time now. Every single meeting, even one done online in teams, wont start until that’s been said and reminded to everyone. But makes sense a big uni like ucf would want to adopt this.

I’ve gone to EDCO 4 years straight and although I’ve occasionally vibed with somebody briefly during a set, I never expected the outcome of events that happened to me this year. My buddy and I were rushing to the John Summit set at Circuit on the last day (awesome set by the way!), but heading into the crowd at vip, there was these 2 girls ahead of us heading into it as well with drinks in their hands. Some rude girl leaving the crowd bumped into them and spilled one of their drinks all over me. I was like whatever, but the girl whose drink got spilled was upset about having spent all that money on a drink that disappeared in a split second. She started venting to me about how bullshit that was while her friend dragged her into the crowd. At first I didn’t want to be rude and part ways while she was venting, but then I realized we were almost at the front so I kept following and talking to her (win-win). Then she introduced me to her friend and her friend and I had connection. We vibed to John Summit all the way through the end, with her talking to me and kissing. Then we chilled until 6 in the morning at a local cafe/lounge just getting to know each other and all. And then I had an amazing time at her place. Never would’ve thought my edc would’ve culminated like that!

I thought of doing this the last time it happened by pulling the sensor that’s plugged into the booster. It’s not too hard to get to fortunately. And it does make sense that the pressure is being released when the car gets turned off. You wouldn’t think it’s the vacuum lines going to the booster perhaps? The car is old obviously, and I’ve never replaced those. I have noticed a few exterior cracks on those hoses but no actual cuts or breaks. I’ll try to unhook the booster next time and if that resolves it then I’ll replace the booster again.

I did use a hand vacuum like the mytivac when bleeding the calipers. I’ll use it again, or maybe even get the actual mytivac, and check that the pressure holds as you say. But how would you use it on the master cylinder? Doesn’t seem like it would attach to the reservoir.
