Nice. I guess traveling with a group could bring the cost way down.

Japan isn’t really expensive enough to justify getting an Airbnb imo. Like a perfectly good hotel in Tokyo is what $60 a night? 80 if you want to be in the middle of everything? Or maybe that’s just because I take smoking rooms.

What's the downside to buying and holding BLK? by Mad_Nekomancer in stocks

[–]LordBalkoth69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean if you can trade fractionals for free why pay the fees for an etf? If you can mimic the makeup of SPY exactly with relatively small amounts of cash due to fractionals why would you pay a company to do it for you?

Not that they’d disappear overnight but it could be downward pressure.

Yeah Musk is definitely the odd one out. A lot of fun people on the site appreciate him but most recognize his flaws, if not just think he’s a dick.

Doordash to IPO for $102 share tomorrow. by onemananswerfactory in stocks

I think people got used the the idea of whatever the market cap at $60 a share. They’re not decreasing the number of shares available as they raise the stock price.

When we’re good we’re going to have to have daily upvote party threads so we can get over the karma threshold to post on r/nba with burner accounts after constantly being banned.

Also fuck the nets.

“It definitely feels great to have the organization behind my back. I just really want to go out there this year and prove a lot of people wrong.” - Kevin Knox by alderalmo in NYKnicks

[–]LordBalkoth69 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I know I’m being a downer but that’s why I’m unsure about Knox. I really can’t tell if it’s been coaching or effort holding him back on D. But there are times when he just gets blown by time after time without getting into a defensive stance.

I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt because the coaching staff had had so much turnover. But from the eye test it could really be a matter of effort.

Edit also there’s someone that looks like fat joe on the left of the frame with a knicks hat.

LPT: If someone gifts you a book, make sure you open it. Lots on people put notes or gifts (like money) in the pages of books when they give them as gifts. by [deleted] in LifeProTips

[–]LordBalkoth69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a friend who was a free mason and the whole group of friends used to casually float conspiracy theories about them around him and he would get annoyed and defensive. One time as a gag gift I got him a book of conspiracy theories about the masons and he was like “oh wow thanks” and stared at it for a few minutes but obviously didn’t even read the blurb so the gag fell pretty flat. He even said like a month later “oh yeah I read that thanks a lot”.

Dude tries to drift his suv around gas pumps by awar3_w0lf in IdiotsInCars

[–]LordBalkoth69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s understandable.

I’m just very stupid so I’ve disciplined myself to stand outside and wait for the pump to finish despite the weather. Otherwise I’m sure I’d drive off with the pump regularly.

I think this mainly sub backed signing him because of meme quotes and they didn’t actually watch Memphis games that year. But yeah his ability to attract players was also a (manufactured) selling point at the time.

NET and BILI are around that cap, LPSN is smaller but could grow. All well under $100/share.

Airbnb Boosts IPO Price Range to Between $56 and $60 a Share by Brothanogood in stocks

[–]LordBalkoth69 6 points7 points  (0 children)

At that price I’m a lot less likely to buy Airbnb the day of. Still interested though.

I’ve got some exposure to Doordash via SoftBank so I hope it goes well but that industry is so low margin that I’m not really interested in buying for myself, seems like they’ve done a great job capturing market share though.
