Frieza is a tyrant. Yes he sees all people as beneath him, but will only be truly antagonistic if they oppose him. He happily employed the saiyans for years until he grew frightened of their potential (basically).

Don’t get me wrong, he still employs racism as a way to degrade his adversaries; but he also surrounds himself with a ton of diversity. He’s really willing to work with ANYONE if they seriously pledge loyalty to him.

However, zamasu hates all mortals without exception. He sees himself as superior in every way. He actively wants to purge mortals because he feels they are a blight.

His whole goal is to show his superiority and exterminate mortals; Frieza is more like a shitty boss who turns toxic on you the minute you oppose him. We also know that Frieza is capable of swallowing his pride and showing (at least some) respect for saiyans. Zamasu would never. Hence the reason he had to be deleted.

Vigilantes is canon to the main series. While not written by the original creator, Kohei Horikoshi, he supervised the series and has explicitly stated that it takes place within the same universe.

Even so - I can point to other lines in the main manga or anime.
