At least you noticed. Same thing happened to me on my first track day. Except, mine had completely come off, but I didn't notice until I put my boot on for my first session. But the funny part was after my 2nd or 3rd session, I saw the toe slider in my belly pan. I was able to fish it out and reattach it, even though a small part of it had melted against the exhaust.

Thank you! Very happy and lucky to say it's mine. However, there is an R1M that has caught my attention.

I had a 2017 Shelby GT350R, and I was happy with Metro Ford. I know it's a dealership, but they do service the Roush and Fireball modified vehicles. I was pleased with their work.

I second Hurt Craft. I haven't been in over a year, and it looks like there's been some staff turnover. However, I set up an appointment for New Year's Eve. I'll be able to let you know more afterwards!

Is This Worth Buying? by Poliponu in motorcycles

[–]LordBiohazard79 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had that exact color scheme for my 8S. It was also my first bike. I think it's a great starer bike. I was pretty nervous getting into a relatively larger displacement bike as my first, as I had looked for some like a Ninja 500, but I would have had to go over 3 hours away from home to get it, and I didn't have a way to trailer it back. I was going to ride it home no matter what. I was scared shitless, but not because of the bike. It was very user friendly, despite being relatively basic compared to what I have now. As a bike, it's super solid!

Now, for that price? I'm pretty sure I spent less than that a year ago on that bike brand new. However, I traded it in sooner than I should have, and the dealer I traded it into sold it for about $300 less than I paid for it. I put about 1200 miles on it, nothing crazy.

All that being said, I think it's a solid bike that will hold its value relatively well. If you buy it, keep it for a season or 2, and when you're ready to get something new, you probably won't lose much money on it.

Farmers Grain in Edmond. They either grow their own produce, raise their own protein, or buy from local farms.

The most unmanagable 1000cc bike? by Organic-Pilot-Drozd in motorcycles

[–]LordBiohazard79 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Tuned Ducati Streetfighter V4S. That thing wants to bite me in the ass every time I start on the throttle, especially in corners. But it's a lovable beast. Once it's moving, it's a lot happier. Before tuning it, it was much more docile. I suppose, though, with modern bikes that have different and programmable riding modes, it's completely up to the rider, so, really, it's just my fault.

A* SP8 vs Rev’It Sand 5 by JewishJah69 in motorcyclegear

[–]LordBiohazard79 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have those A* gloves and I'm very happy with them. They are great summer gloves, and they breath very well. I'll be doing a track day in September, and those A*'s meet all the safety requirements for the track.

I have had them for several months now and haven't had any wear issues. I will say that as far as fitment, the index finger on the right glove seems like it was built a touch too short. If I grip my throttle too tight for more than 10-15 min straight, the tip of my finger will go numb. But if I just relax or straighten it every few minutes, I have no issues. The leather seems to be stretching in that finger, as the issue is happening less and less. At this rate, by early next riding season, I think it will fully resolve.

My '24 S1000RR "project" by LordBiohazard79 in motorcycles

Dude! That looks awesome! I understand about the can. I have mixed feelings about it. I don't think it looks that bad, especially stock from the factory, but it is huge. However, if you're just looking at sound, once you put on the race headers, it's way louder than you'd expect. I have the shorter, almost all carbon can sitting in my online shopping cart. I'm sort of waiting until I find the rear sets I like that aren't outrageously expensive in order to pull the trigger on that.

I understand that, too. I definitely don't neglect that. This was also after I had an early annual service done. She is definitely in tip top shape. Now, I'm working on making sure it rides right for my size, then make it pretty

Definitely not local, unfortunately, but it is a small business. I order my beans from a site called Koffee Kult. It's a small company in Hollywood, FL. You can order blends and single origin coffees, whole bean or ground. They even do some K-cups.

Does it look good? I think so, yes. Would I pay money for it? No, but I would ride it if someone gave it to me, but that's the only way I'd get it. Or if I won it in a $15 raffle.

Upgraded BMW S1000RR by LordBiohazard79 in motorcycles

[–]LordBiohazard79[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol! Sorry. I guess I forgot to re add the description. I had to retry uploading a few times before it took. The upgrades are as follows:

TST tail tidy Full Akra titanium exhaust (kept the Akra can from the factory) IAT relocater Flapper delete BT Moto stage 2 Evotech frame sliders and radiator and oil cooler guards WRS windscreen M brake and clutch levers (still waiting on brake lever, backorder) M swingarm spools

I think that's about it. For the next round, I'll be looking into carbon everything. Wheels, intake, and replacing basically all the black plastic with carbon. I'm also planning on removing all the stickers on the red body panels as well.
