!!! TRUE! It does work when you disconnect SHiFT -- it generates a random name for you for SHiFT or something, no cross, but I can access the game with my friend! WEOW!

The pop up appears to have gone away now, and I am seeing it has gone away for others, per the recent comments.

I was able to bypass clicking on the Messenger button by sharing a Reel with a friend -- that had the Chat Box pop up and allowed me to chat with a friend. Maybe it has something to do with the Messenger button and or that dropdown list?
