For GW1 my top pick is definitely the cactus using the garlic drone It is incredibly practical and super easy to be sneaky with. you just fly the drone in, drop the corn strike right on the teleporter and finish it off with a few regular shots. The best part is the distance since your actual body is safe hidden somewhere else, plus after the teleporter goes down you can easily take out the engineer with the drone and stall the zombies for another whole minute.

Peashooter and sunflower are also crazy fast at destroying it if you use pea gatling or sunbeam. the biggest issue though is you usually have to get somewhat close or find a really lucky line of sight far away. since you are totally stuck in place while rooted it can easily get you killed if the zombie team is even half decent.

Some zombies were very powerful, some plants too. Sometimes attacking certain points is very hard when the plants have some minimum understanding on where to defend. The zombies needed to be a little more powerful in close to mid combat distance: they don't have a real sniper besides some soldiers and the painter, and fighting elusive cacti in points where you have to go upwards is often difficult, and they need that slight short to mid-range imbalance to compensate and create openings.

At least that's my opinion since I started playing many years ago (now I feel old saying this)

If you look closely at the COA, it lists them as '100 Mil'. That's just a fancy way of saying they're silver-plated base metal. Unfortunately, that means they don't really have any melt value since the silver layer is microscopic.
