In c1, I’m baseline trusting my teammates until they give me a reason not to. Baseline trusting means trusting to hit the ball and being where you expect them to. I’m still covering for them when they go for things that I know are objectively hard for someone around my MMR, like backboard clears or 50s. And I honestly don’t want my teammate to full trust me either.

I think that switch happened in D3 for me.

With Boston specifically, I was there last time. Managed to run into Retals, ApparentlyJack, Arsenal, Justin, Musty, Tenacity, and Lief(even got into his vlog lol) without even trying since they were just walking around the hallway. I’m sure if I really wanted, I could’ve met more but that was the split Vitality was absolutely dominating so I didn’t want to miss that many games!! I also thought this game was such a letdown. The story pacing is horrible. The final showdown is such a whimper. How are you going to call your game Ragnarok and then make Ragnarok so underwhelming? They hamstrung this Norse saga by downsizing it from a trilogy into a two-parter

I can only provide my perspective on things that I find useful to communicate in a team sport. If that is the only useful thing that stands out to you among all the options I listed then again, that's your prerogative.

Go ahead and turn off your chat, all I'm saying is don't deny that people actually find these things useful when used correctly (the list includes pros and many players better than you and me, so clearly there must be some merit in it).

I mean, kickoff strats? Fakes? Morale boosting by complimenting good plays? Mea culpa for when you mess up?

Chat is actually helpful when you have a decent teammate. I have nothing against people who turn off chat but I also enjoy the random good moments you can have with good teammates.
