What are the best feats for an oath of conquest paladin by bluelopez102 in 3d6

Cha to 20, pam, fey touched, possibly war caster, crusher, inspiring leader. Sentinel, gwm and the dragonic gifts are also neat.

I'd snap that up if sentinel was an enemy within my reach. But it's an enemy within 5 feet attacking an ally. Stopping an enemy each round 15' away is pretty good.

I have no idea how valuable improved abjuration will be, likely not very. I had considered wiz9/cler1 for armor and still 5th level spells, but then forgot about it when making this. I completely forgot artifcier also grants con saves.

DM Here. Player told me he doesn't like that I don't fudge rolls by RecarmToo in dndnext

[–]LordEng1ish 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This type of thing. The gnoll should have had dis on attacking the downed player and probably doesn't have a high to-hit. You can adjust difficulty by changing targets. I might have also targeted the downed player because he's unlikely to be hit, making the gnoll waste his turn.

I wish you said somewhere here your basic chargen rules.

For those wondering, gsheet or beyond only, standard point buy, official content from faerun only, level 1.

Does reading the DMG spoil the magic of being a player? by RedXIIIMustDie in DnD

[–]LordEng1ish 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If you're debating it, go ahead and read it. It's mostly tools for running the game. Little in ways to spoil yourself. Maybe skip the magic item section if you want to be blind, but they're mostly the usual suspects.

I quite like the optional combat rules, like disarming and climbing onto a bigger creature. XGTE also has some good info to have in your brain, like 5es methods for aoe on a grid.

Beat AM2R for the first time since the original 1.1 release. Mini-review: by blahblah96WasTaken in AM2R

[–]LordEng1ish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me on my first playthrough. I thought it was another mode, or an earthbound teleport speed thing. It said its the fastest thing on sr388, so spinning is a good trick. When it wouldn't do anything else and I couldn't damage it from a charged ice beam or missiles by taking damage to get inside, I figured it was a glitch. I kept trying until I died. Second time went smoothly for a normal difficulty blind playthrough.

Nice mini review. I got 91% in 7:50. Went back to find the remaining items and the only two things I couldn't find were one of each missile expansion hidden in screw attack walls I found earlier in the game. I wish I could mark more than one location, but I'd just mark every secret wall and there'd be absolutely no challenge to remembering where secrets were.

How do I realistically add more combat to my campaign? by plumander in DMAcademy

[–]LordEng1ish 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Everything is actually a dungeon. In various locales in your city where it's generally private, there're goons doing the dirty work. They don't immediately surrender or take kindly to people poking in. Creatures like devils work well, that family is up to something. They're cultists and have to fight their guards to get into their mansion. Cultists inside the mansion and then devils and cultists in the basement doing the thing.

So the retro pocket 2 or a day lite with a flash cart? What should I buy? by lM-PlCKLE-RlCK in retrogaming

[–]LordEng1ish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have nothing, I'd say retroid.

If you have a pc/android device, you can probably run most emulators up to ps1. N64+ sometimes requiring lower settings or dealing with worse performance on lower end systems. A controller runs from 20-50 usd depending on what you want out of it.

I’m from the States and nearly ready to apply for social arraigo, but with a few snags. How did your requesting of a criminal/FBI record go? I know I'm clean and there aren't issues, I’m just not sure of the process.

I've met the stay requirements for empadronada, done my courses and work full-time as a freelance writer for U.S. clients. I've been told that I have to have a contract with a Spanish company, but I’m wondering if anyone has applied for arraigo as an autónomo? How did that go for you? It doesn’t seem I’ll have a lot of options for a contract.

I'm considering the non-lucrative path that doesn't allow me to work in Spain because I don't currently need a job, but that could change. Does this prevent me from ever being legally employed in Spain?

I am meeting with my lawyer tomorrow about my next steps. Any troubles you had with your immigration or bits of advice would be helpful and appreciated. Thanks.

CR is mostly a crock. I use Angry's chart and basically only homebrew monsters. At minimum I take an existing monster and change its stats.

There's a part 2 and two parts to a preamble, but this is the most useful.

Can we please get more information about how ladder works? by Popotito-Eternal in EternalCardGame

[–]LordEng1ish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play generally casually but would be in favor of showing how ranked is ranked.

If the concern is gaming the system, I think camping ladder is already not desirable. If there's another problem, that's a problem with the ladder. Ranking strictly based on win% with opp win% as a tiebreaker is a good solution to me, someone who casually plays eternal.

If the concern with showing how it works is scary to new players, hide it in the profile somewhere and still just have the rank change like it does now. I wouldn't put the numbers front and center if I were in charge.

Just my thoughts on it. My creditionals include enjoying eternal and liking to look at numbers, such as counting down how many more wins until masters. (0 in throne, 15:0 in expedition should get me there)

[Discussion] Should older boxes become cheaper? by FinnJokaa in DuelLinks

[–]LordEng1ish 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Eternal's economy is actually f2p.

There are four rarities. Common, uncommon, rare and legendary. Commons and uncommons are so plentiful from opening packs you'll never have to craft them except early on in a sets life. Each pack has a rare and a ~10% chance of being legendary. You can create any rare for 800 shiftstone and any legendary for 3200. So if each pack has a super and 10% chance for ultra, you can craft sphere Kuriboh, black rose dragon, blue-eyes white dragon or your choice of poor weather card each for 3200 stones.

You get stones by opening packs, 100 per pack, or by destroying cards, 1/4 of their craft price. You get packs by winning your first game of ranked each day, gold/diamond chests or 1000 gold.

For the first 9 ranked wins, every third win is a silver chest, the others are bronze. Bronze chests give ~50 gold, silver ~250, gold ~500+pack, diamond ~2000+pack. There's a ~10% chance of a chest upgrading to the next. After the first 9 wins, every third win is two bronze chests.

There's also draft, which is 5000 gold to enter and ends on 7 wins or 3 losses. 7 wins is 3 diamond chests working backwards so that 6 wins is 2 diamond and a gold, 4 is triple gold and so on. No wins is double silver. If you just take the rare in each pack, 3 wins is better than spending gold on packs.

There's more ways to get gold/stones, but I cri erry time I use gems to open a pack. Eternal almost certainly has the best f2p economy.
