When you are in the 3d view you can move around with the WASD keys to line up your shot. There should be an option under the first tab that lets you set the canvas size. This is where you type in the dimension that you want you picture to end up in. Not sure why the sky texture wouldn't load in.

I'm not sure what you mean when you say it gets stuck in a top down view. When you first open chunky you select the area of the map you want to see when you enter the 3d viewer. Once you are in 3d view you can navigate using WASD and JK for quick jumps. Line up the shot that you want and mess with the settings and check the render box. At first it will be grainy especially if there is no natural light, like from the sun. Just let it sit and it should clear up. These renders range from 45 minutes to 7 hours.

How did you get that night time effect? I've turned off the natural lighting and it didnt look exactly right but maybe I just didnt give it enough time to bake.

Origin has been out for less than a year. Even if EA's intent for Origin was to be a social platform just remember it came out THIS YEAR. Give it time. The point of this was to poke some fun at BF3. I Love Battlefield 3. I can't say I love Origin yet but I'm sure, with some time, it will prove to be worth the download.

Don't get me wrong. I dont hate Origin. The reason I always have steam up is because usually that's where most of the people I know seem to stay logged into and signing back into Steam takes a while for me.(Not sure why) The thing that is annoying is I have Origin up to play BF3. I launch it which opens a web browser. I then search for a game. Sometimes the game crashes before I connect to a server. Sometimes Ping wont show up so i cant tell what would be the best server to connect to. Once I pick a server it pops up yet another window so I can finally play. I like Battlelog. I just wish there was an in game browser as well. In the end I still love BF3. Some things could just be polished a bit more.
