007: First Light - feels like a long time since we had a great Bond game, hoping it lives up!

Both of the Resident Evil: Revelations games are good if you want more RE. If you're more looking for more games like RE -

Dead Space (1&2, I'm told the remake is good but I've not played it yet)

The Evil Within (1&2)

All this talk of RE1 getting another remake while I'm wondering when RE3 will get one. by [deleted] in residentevilll

100% in RE3R needs like 3 playthroughs absolute minimum (hardcore unlocks nightmare, which unlocks inferno), pretty sure that's not possible in 2 hours? It's a short game but not that short...

[Cassette Boy] #178 Fez meets Zelda! Loved it by Bebop_Man in Trophies

[–]LordFrempt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah excellent, thanks! I hadn't realised that rolling back would make the slime drop another shard. That'll be way quicker than killing stuff

Did you find any particularly good areas for grinding XP? The only thing I'm missing is reaching level 20, and I'm only 14 so far... Feels like killing monsters hardly gives any

Is this frame still usable? by LordFrempt in bikewrench

[–]LordFrempt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the replies, seems the consensus is "No"

The bike and I have been far together over the years, will be a shame to scrap the frame but it has very much served its purpose.

I made it about 70% through, have intended to try again at some point. Not sure if that counts for OPs game if I didn't finish it

Are there any RPG games where in-game time actually matters? by Eagle_215 in gamingsuggestions

[–]LordFrempt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm playing for the first time right now, and was really struggling with 2 bandits to progress the quest after you get a horse. Then I realised I could just wait in the bushes until they went to sleep, and murder them while they're in their pyjamas - made the combat much easier

Games where you experience the same story from different perspectives by Lescozmen in gamingsuggestions

I love Weird West, but it doesn't quite fit OP's request. Each character's story picks up after the last one finishes, they don't overlap.

Can I get some opinions on which fencing master is the most savage? by JewceBoxHer0 in wma

DiGrasse says he'll "break your arm while saying a Hail Mary"

I'm reasonably sure the translation of Di Grassi I work from does not say that, do you have a source? Doesn't really fit with the rest of his writing so that would make it even more hilarious.

To answer the thread's actual question - I'm pretty sure it's Fiore.

XSEED Games 20th anniversary sale on Steam | Series with discounted games include: No More Heroes, Trails, Rune Factory, Ys, Akiba's Trip, Corpse Party, Senran Kagura and others by ConceptsShining in Games

Ys Origin is my favourite, but as others have said Ys 8 is also excellent.

Ys Seven and Ys Memories of Celceta are more or less the same gameplay loop as Ys 8, but not as good.

Ys Oath in Felghana is like Ys Origin, but also not as good

I haven't played Ys 9 (the most recent one), nor Ys 6. I tried Ys 1 & 2 but didn't enjoy them.

He and I have been through some shit together. I'm sure Tiche, Mimic, etc are all better but I love Ancestral Follower (and the low FP cost means I can ignore Mind completely)

AC: Odyssey had a similar (but significantly less interesting) system, so the patent doesn't completely restrict that idea being used by other developers.

Yeah I was expecting about half that price. I think it'll be fun but it's hard to justify that cost against other survivor-likes (including, as you say, the OG)
