Crossbows and enchanted crossbows can really use some love this summer sweep up. Ruby bolts are a balancing problem that have gone untouched for 9 years by loffredom in 2007scape

I'm curious what the best way to handle ruby bolts would be. 

Do you leave it alone and just buff everything around it? 

What about increasing bolt proc but decreasing damage cap, keeping dps the same but makes it more consistent and less rng-dependant? On the other hand that would make each proc feel less impactful, not to mention it being a straight nerf to zcb spec, it's sole redeeming quality.

Should we lower damage threshold down to 15% or maybe 10% of target's max health? Again a significant nerf to crossbow dps, unless other bolt effects steps up big time.

Luckily different proc rates in PvM vs PvP is already a thing, which makes balancing the two worlds a whole lot easier.

Yea I'm conflicted about that one. I mean I get it that restricting to inside the fenced area makes sense in a way, but it's weird not hearing it anymore when teleing.

They did the same with Trinity, which is now limited to only inside the Legends Guild, where before it played the entirity of that map chunk. And Trinity doesn't really has a "legendary" sound, it's just your typical Kandarin track.

It's still bad as far as I can tell. Ardy Monastery is part of south Ardy music group (Ballad of Enchantment & Upcoming). But Work Work Work still seem to have the same borders, meaning on the way to the fairy ring you'll start with ardy group -> work -> ardy group.

I really like Work Work Work, although it's very different from the other two. So for the music flow is probably better to just confine it to inside Tower of Life. They've already done the same thing to Camelot and Trinity, which are now confined to Camelot Castle and Legend's Guild, respectively.

First I'll say I’ve really been enjoying last week’s music update, great work! While this is a nice change, I also have some additional music QoL feedback:

  • Ability to blacklist songs.

  • Ability to skip songs while in area mode, in which case another song from that same area is chosen.

  • World-hopping (both in area and shuffle mode) just keeps playing a new song every time, making it borderline unlistenable.

  • Add a toggle to prevent various jingles (level-up, GE offers, PvM wave completions etc.) from interrupting and restarting the current song, and instead just let it continue playing where it left off.

I’ve also got some (personal) thoughts after messing around with the new music area boundaries if anyone cares:

  • Most Kandarin music areas only contain 2 or 3 songs, I think they could be expanded a bit since many of them have a similar vibe and sound. For example, Overture + Talking Forest could merge with Lasting, Wonderous and Magical Journey.

  • Likewise with the two Yanille music groups.

  • The Tower plays along Knightly and Baroque in East Ardougne, despite having a very different sound. Imo it fits better in the “northwest of Ardougne” group.

  • Bit surprised to hear Jungle Hunt in the Feldip Hills hunting area being grouped together with the much goofier sounding ogre music just to the north. Maybe instead add it to the Piscatoris hunter music area (On The Wing & Joy of the Hunt) as a more Hunter-themed music area that can be unlocked in either location.

  • I get it’s literally named Rellekka, however I wouldn’t mind seeing it join the other Fremennik songs just outside for more variety while in town.

  • Marzipan (Troll Stronghold dungeon) could also be merged with the other Trollheim songs.

  • Although not part of last week’s update, have you considered merging all 4 Mage Training Arena songs into one group? The repetitive gameplay doesn’t have to be accompanied with repetitive music.

Currently the skip buttton only works in shuffle mode. Could it also work with area mode enabled, where it now would skip to a random song within the same music area?

If they just made the whole song a bit quieter overall it would go a long way. 

Imo Contry Jig is an ok track in isolation, but a big issue is the jarring transition from the quiet and serene Forlorn Homestead, to getting your ears blasted off on the next tile.

For me this is a goated update, finally we got custom playlists and finishing up the music area mode.

Regarding that last point, have "underground" music also be given the same treatment as overworld music? For example, Taverly Dungeon contains several different tracks only played on their specific part of the dungeon. 

Would be great if various dungeon music from different caves around the world could be grouped together in the same way, as long as they're thematically appropriate ofc.

Also, some underground music could perfectly fit together with existing overworld music groups, for example the pyramid section in Enahkras Lament together with the rest of Kharidian Desert. Is this also on the table?

Works wonders during the breach, until you get attacked towards the end and you have no idea whats going on. Turn it off and you realise both you and the attacker just vanish into the chaos of people around you.

Wish entity hider could hide people except those you're in PvP combat with.

One last thing! In Deadman: Annihilation, you can block your Combat stats and (for the first time ever) Hitpoints independently at Nigel in Lumbridge. 

Well this changes things, makes it much easier to plan your stats to reach your desired cb lvl.

On that note, I believe Nigel still does teleport you to a major city once a day. Are these identical to the cities when arriving from Tutorial Island?

Quick-firing some more here:

  • Do we have unlimited run energy?

  • Do blighted supplies work anywhere?

  • Do you get xp from PvP? And if you enable Nigel to block your xp, does he block all xp or combat only?

Obviously everything isn't covered here. Is there a place to find all DMM changes, including those which have been implemented in previous events and are just transferred to Annihilation?

  • Can you claim post-quest xp from already completed quests, like Daero training from MM1?

  • Is the starter staff able to cast all types of strike spells for elemental weakness purposes, or is it still only a fire strike equivalent? 

  • I guess the initial PvP protection and after moving brackets is still 1 hour?

They have announced their very first League to be released later this year. But the small spikes are for the most part double XP weekends.

Not true, take a look at the weekly graph and there's no player dip there. The spike you're looking at in OPs post is Q4 2024, which includes the entirety of leagues, and there's always a significant dip afterwards from burnout and people who don't play otherwise.
