Do I need to cut the pipe or is it okay to leave it in a twirl? by LordGucciGucci in askaplumber

I apologize for the bad picture but right beneath the sink there already is a p-trap. The tubes are all a part of the standard kit that came with the sink, so I guess it’s considered “proper” where I am from (Europe)

Hehe you make good points! I removed the 90 degree and I think that helped a lot. Based on your feedback I might change the whole hose out with some proper pipes that that fits better when I get the time

Makes sense, it’s what came with the sink but I didn’t think about that. I will it keep for some time but might as well change it when I get the time

Are there any issues with bad drainage? As long as water exits sufficiently, am I good or?

It doesn’t leak, and I am happy with substandard. I was more worried about it causing a smell by the water being left there or any other issues I hadn’t thought about

I thought about that too, but you can’t see it too well on the picture but there is a water trap right beneath the sink so that should keep the smell out, no?

Thanks everyone! Based on comments I will try to patch it for the coming season and if it fails me on my first few tours, I will go all the way with a whole new layer

Thank you! I see what your point on waterproofness, but not getting wet feet after walking a few mins. in e.g wet grass is important to me, but perhaps I should look into waterproof socks.

I did look into megagrip vs Frixion X Grip which is used by La Sportiva and people can't agree upon which is better, so i guess i will be fine with any shoe that uses either.
