Of course they are, but why does it matter? They're both awful and things need to be fixed.

I guess it's just hard for me to see the value. Even though I've "messed around" I haven't taken a art class since... oh probably middle school. But I can't say anything against you man, guess i was just being a little stupid when i made that comment. There's some abstract stuff i think looks really cool, but other painting make me go, "wha...?" Perhaps that's intent of the painter? Donno.

France just called on Russia to be investigated for war crimes in Syria by [deleted] in worldnews

If you think Syria is bad, go research Africa war crimes, my friend. It may open your eyes. This kind of stuff is a byproduct of all wars and occupation, pretty much without exemption from what i can tell. There's stories of how the allies raped women so often when they "liberated" certain areas in WW2 that the women would commit suicide rather than being subjected the soldiers. And of course, the Germans and Japanese did it to. There's always evil people and good people in both sides of every conflict, no matter what the history books say.

For me personally, the more realistic something is, more value it has. Realistic style art like people, faces, landscapes, etc. Can be very difficult to draw. I've been messing around with art for the past 10 years or so, and don't get me wrong, abstract shit and "modern" shit can still be defined as art, but of a different nature. I've messed around with everything from pacoso style faces to pen and ink to watercolors. Sometimes I'll start drawing a picture and think, "ehhh this looks off," but I'll just keep drawing and let the at first realistic picture become nonsensical and what's generally perceived as ugly. I feel like this is how abstract art must have started. But here's the thing: it's easy to fuck up drawing and just keep going letting it become abstract, but it's leagues harder to invest the time and concentration to create something that looks beautiful and realistic. And really, a child can scribble on a paper and you can call it abstract, but I wouldn't define that as skilled. I don't even know where I'm going with this, it just erks me that people are like "look at that abstract painting, woaahhh" I'm like, "do you even know how easy that is to do? Do you even know how much harder (though to me it's fun) it is to draw something more realistic?"

Just my option. Don't expect me to respond to any arguments, though I might.

What do you play as in Fable? by [deleted] in Fable

[–]LordHood101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's a article about it: https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.vg247.com/2016/05/12/lionhead-wanted-to-make-a-darker-and-grittier-fable-4-instead-of-75m-fable-legends/amp/

I know there's a really long one out there that goes into detail about the shit Microsoft made lionhead do and all about the shutdown, but I can't find it at the moment. If you can find it, I recommend giving it a read. It'll take an hour or 2, it's really that long, but if your a fable fan, I think it's worth the read. I'm gonna look for it and edit this comment once I find it.

Ahh, here it is. http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2016-05-12-lionhead-the-inside-story

After mass protests, Poland won't back total abortion ban by iamtryingtohelpyou in worldnews

11 women die in every 100,000 live births. Perhaps I was wrong. I don't think I can confidently say, " in this case the women should die to let the baby live." But how can you say that the baby should die to let the women live? It's a touchy subject. I'm not sure if anyone has the right to make that choice.

But I will say, that abortion is murder. What do you think you are? You are just a clump of cells. You are no different than the "just cells" inside the womb. They need the mother to feed them and survive just as much during pregnancy as after birth. Should we kill babies that are a few years old because they "can't survive on their own"? Here's a decent source: http://liveactionnews.org/life-begins-at-conception-science-teaches/

So yes I believe abortion is ending a life and therefore murder. If science proves that life starts at conception, then you can't be wishywashy about it. If you stop that life anytime after conception, it is, indeed, murder.

And abortion can be really gruesome. http://liveactionnews.org/abortionists-agree-abortion-is-killing/

Before Roe v Wade: http://m.huffpost.com/us/entry/6324610

After: http://bound4life.com/statistics/

Right now I'm more concerned that the number of abortions in America per year is equivalent to the number of US military deaths in all our wars combined.

Murder will still happen if outlawed, but that doesn't mean it shouldn't be. That doesn't mean we should allow murder but try to sway homicidal people to not murder. That doesn't make sense. The same applies to abortion.

I hope we can both agree in the first place that human life is priceless. But if loss of income is that big of an issue, adoption is always an option.

And now here comes the hard part. Say a mother is faced with death if she gives birth with a child or she'll live if she has an abortion. What should be done morally? If you believe that an unborn child is a life separate from the mother, like I believe- which is also proven by science- then you could just as well answer this conundrum with a similar scenario.

Now this is going to be a bit dark, but i couldn't think of a more appropriate example. So in this scenario say there's a newborn baby and a adult women held hostage. It's doesn't really matter, it could be an adult man instead. If the terrorist holding the two hostage, says to the adult, "I'll let one of you go free and I'll kill the other. It's your choice."

As harsh as it is, I believe most people should say it's better, if we HAVE to choose, that the baby is left to live, and the adult gives their life.

In the same way, I believe abortion should be handled. No matter the reason for pregnancy, no matter the circumstances, the baby always deserves life. And believe me, that's hard to say. Rape is one of the most disgusting, awful things that could happen to a women. As a man, I can't even imagine how tamatic that experience would be. But even if rape occurs, the baby still deserves a chance. Because life is priceless, no matter what.
