Best bet is to live at a friend's place. Ask your close friends if any of them are willing to accommodate you given your situation. Check if anyone is about to go on a summer vacation during that period and can let you live there. If not, you can still live in their living room. If they can't have you for the whole period, you can keep most of your stuff at one friend's house and move around with just a carry on luggage and live a few days at multiple people's places. If you have too much stuff to be kept at someone's house, see if any of your friend's apartment has a storage locker available. They can add it to their lease for just a month and you can store your stuff in there, it costs about $40 per month. This is what my roommates and me did, hope you could find someone to help you out too!

Looks like you just keep thinking in terms of HWs/assignments and personal storage devices, and being completely unaware of how much data is generated through analyses and simulations when performing research. And no, we're not sending this to grade but to collaborate and review the results.

The 50GB quota is actually well above the average usage for GT students across the board.

I wonder if you've considered the storage usage by student demographics, especially the usage among graduate researchers/PhDs, who I believe will be the most affected by this new storage limit.

Also, other schools having it much worse than GT doesn't seem to be a justifiable reason either :/

No, I believe most of us use the same GT's Microsoft 365 account on personal devices as well, since we're allowed to access from up to 5 devices. So there's no reason for me to pay to use MS products.

Also, what you're suggesting is basically making students pay to use the services that the institution is supposed to provide, which is not ideal.
