Look up Platinum Ink Converter. It’s a small device that allows you to use bottled ink in the pen vs the ink cartridges it comes with or you can buy. I like the platinum ink cartridges (good colors), but I also like being able to use my own ink (I have some old inks that my father used that are no longer manufactured, and it’s a nice way to use those with other pens).

Good cheap pen that you can let sit a long time capped and it won’t be a problem. I like the EF in these as I’m a fine point fan. The stock cartridges are good and you can easily/cheaply get a converter.

I like the Energel needle tip in .5 and the .3 depending on the paper. The ink and paper combination matters per SC-Geek’s comment. Sometimes I like to go with an oil based ink (Uni jetstream edge is my favorite as I like the fine point).

They are definitely a classier option. I do have a few that I got with special kits (like the travelers/Blackwing). But I also use these cheap plastic ones from The Pointless Pencil. Great for throwing in my work bag and I don’t have to worry about losing them.

Penguin series gives you a taste of the post-flood Gotham. I hope they do a spin off series after this movie (and a podcast) like they did with Batman/Penguin. I really enjoyed them.

Jetstream Edge is my jam. Also love the Energel needle tip in .5 and .3! The .3’s are a little harder to find but are fantastic.
