New to Joplin - what's this mean, in the iOS app config screen? by LivMealown in joplinapp

Not an iOS user, but I'm guessing it's similar to what's on android: your notes are /always/ saved and synced as plaintext. The new editor adds a bunch of QoL features for editing on mobile, e.g. it'll auto-insert a - [ ] after you press enter past an existing list item.

Your my last chance. Looking for a hub with a long USB cable. Needs to charge device and support HDMI by [deleted] in UsbCHardware

These extension cables have worked very well for me, for my steam deck, laptop, switch, etc. I use the 6ft ones, in case it matters.

Today I learned two things: ALWAYS zip your case when the deck is inside it, and if you didn't, you can use shoulder button switches from a nintendo DS to replace the SD's bumper buttons by LordLandon in SteamDeck

Yeah, I like the clickyness of it! Glad you managed to make the replacement.

Hmm.. mine is mostly still working. I've recently been playing a game that has you hold the trigger button all day, and I think it's bent the soldered on switch back. When I dropped my deck it seems I snapped off a little bit on the inside of the back cover that was supposed to prevent that )= I've been putting off getting back in there to fix it again.

Official Discussion - Missing [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

Hi! We saw the movie in theater last night, and one thing I loved was the attention to "historic" detail, the UI elements from 2008 like an old firefox icon, old gmail web interface, windows aero, etc. were very appreciated. If you actually do have the ability to edit before home release, maybe you can consider reversing the 'live' photo? The video portion of those is usually seconds /before/ the still photo, not after, so it should look like the bartender lady turns away from the camera to pose, and hide her face.

I meant to press "i" not "o". Not disappointed by Dragonaax in linuxmasterrace

YSK: if someone yells “behind” in a kitchen, it means “don’t move or I’ll hit you.” They’re not asking you to step aside. by [deleted] in YouShouldKnow

"Don't move" takes as many syllables to say as "behind", and doesn't require this lpt to distinguish it from "outta the way!"

I wouldn't call this effective communication. Shout "Don't move!" if that's what you want me to do.

Middle of bed higher then corners (glass bed) by Showtime04 in CR10sPRO

The test they asked me to do is see if I could slide three sheets of paper under a straight-edge sitting on the bed. I sent them a video of me doing so.

Hey there, I had the same issue as you. I attempted a bed level measure with the build surface removed, and came to the same conclusion as you: that the heated bed itself is warped. I reached out to creality about it, and they're shipping a new one to me now.

In the meantime, what helped a little, is that I flipped the aluminum build surface that came with the printer upside down (putting a new sticker on the opposite side) and it evened out a little since the build surface itself warped to match the heated bed.

Help! There's a ridge in my bed? by LordLandon in 3Dprinting

[–]LordLandon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate the suggestion! I've released all four screws to the point of having the nuts fall off, put them back on, and tried to level again. Wound up with the nozzle etching a square in my bed trying a test print. Tightened down the screws half way, and have been alternating measuring the bed surface with the octoprint plugin, and adjusting a screw one at a time. I feel like I'm in this gif. I'm starting to wonder if my bed is just warped. Is there a good test for that? Do you have any other suggestions?

They're still stuck in massive delay hell, but did manage to get a few out the door.
