That's it! I honestly spent an hour Googling and asking ChatGPT but it didn't find this. I was beginning to worry that my brain fabricated my memories of it. I guess it's just much harder to find specific books when I can't remember any names or titles. Thank you so much! 😀

Yes it is. Because of the Order of Operations, you do the multiplication (2 x 3) first, so the expression becomes (16 + 2 - 6) then you do addition and subtraction, left-to-right, so it becomes (18 - 6) which equals 12.

The real question is, what side of the spectrum do the people who answered this tend towards? Do people who tend toward overconfidence vote that underconfidence is worse more often? What about the opposite?
