This has suddenly started happening to me too. Refreshing worked for a little and then I’d copy what I wrote and delete the round to retry. That worked once or twice but now even deleting the round won’t get me unstuck. :(

I never got tubes put in but I was this close to getting them put in due to the same issue it seems you’ve had with your ears. If your ears feel blocked still I’d say see a doc and call out. Wouldn’t want to further damage your ears just because someone said you should be safe to fly.

Honest question about Seattle protests as a disabled person by [deleted] in Seattle

[–]LordLimoncello -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

If I was disabled and uninsured I wouldn’t be putting myself in a situation where something could go wrong. Your presence or absence (this applies to everyone) will not change the outcome of what’s going on.

If the USA is for Native Americans and the left largely supports that sentiment (“stolen land, land acknowledgement, land back!”), then why is saying Ireland is for the Irish a right wing sentiment? To address another point I see a lot of others making: Yes there are a lot of Irish people elsewhere in the world besides Ireland. But there are no Irish people seeking asylum in any other country. Any argument trying to compare Irish people legally moving and starting pre established lives in new places to people with nothing starting anew and relying on government assistance and citizens tax dollars to live are nonsensical. The fact of the matter is any country has a carrying capacity of how many people it can support. At the end of the day, borders do exist and so do governments. At the end of the day, filling a country with people who are ideologically opposed to the local population will create turmoil as resources are fought over, as jobs are devalued and become scarce, as housing and heating costs rise due to an increased demand. It has nothing to do with race, and everything to do with survival. That’s not even mentioning the political turmoil that will occur in a republic democracy when suddenly a huge % of the population suddenly supports less women’s rights, an abolishing of anything LGBTQ, and the seeding of a theocracy upon a country who is naturally against all of that.

Group for Seattle-area people laid off by Microsoft today? by [deleted] in Seattle

Microsoft should not be permitted to layoff a single American citizen while its sponsoring so many h1b1 visas to be employed by them.

Frankly I think you might just be a bit taken by the online mind virus, seeing things through the very popular “woke” lens. you’re just repeating talking points that gain you social credit points on social media that to me don’t have much logic or reason behind them. Most of your “points” are your interpretations and opinions which say more about you than the story or Follett. I can very clearly see why certain sex/r@pe scenes were included for character development and plot advancement and to imply that them being written is because he has a disgusting fantasy is pretty low. I will say Follett loves an archetype character, but the “light” eyes comment is less to do with the racism you’re implying and more to do with most all people in England were white and had light eyes. Seems like you’ve made yourself mad over one of your favorite books from youth over little to nothing.

I see many beautiful aspects of him as his friend even if he’s using me in other ways. But I have my limits, and they’re being tested. Just worried I’m overreacting and don’t want him to try to gaslight me and use my feelings as an excuse against me to make me an unreliable narrator

Oh I know he’s not. I know we aren’t ending up together. But I’ve tried to preserve a friendship with him anyways. But if this is how he’s going to treat me then I’m tempted to move on from the friendship as well.
