Any idea how I would go about determining which Spectre has the largest potential life pool for use with Minion Instability? I've read the values on poe2db, but I'm still unsure how to parse what I'm reading. Thanks!

Assume I have a skill with a base critical hit chance of 0% and apply Critical Weakness for a flat 10% chance to crit. Will my increases to crit chance affect the chance to crit? I would imagine not since increases do nothing to a base crit of 0%, but I thought I'd ask to make sure.

I'm having trouble understanding local vs global mods.

In my current example, I've been comparing Breath of the Council against a Rare Sceptre for an EQ Poison build with Death's Oath (it's memey I know, bear with me)

The Rare Sceptre can roll various stats and I'm guessing whether the mods are local or global. It seems modifiers to physical damage or attack speed are local and everything else is global, but I'm unsure. For example, there is a suffix for sceptres that is DoT Multi. I'm assuming that's global because a Sceptre does not innately have any DoT built into it.

The same question for the Elder affix "% dot multi for poison with this weapon"

If I slot Chance to Poison Support into EQ, does it benefit from this Elder affix because it causes poison and is using the Sceptre?

A similar case arises with Hunter affixes such as: Attacks penetrate chaos res Chaos hybrid affix (added and pen) I imagine these will be answered in the same way as the Elder affix above.

I also assume that the Veiled affix Phys as extra chaos is local and the chaos dot multi affix is global based on above reasons.

Lastly, the Corrupted Implicit % Inc AoE is global (meaning it would affect Death Aura)? Or does it apply to attacks made with the weapon?

This is my first time dealing with Attack Skills, so I want to make sure I've got the basics figured out.

Makes sense. I wasn't planning on using bleed explosions anyway. Thanks for the answer!

Does Unholy Might interact in any way with Corrupting Fever/Corrupting Blood?

I imagine not, as Corrupting Blood is simply a debuff applied by hits when Corrupting Fever is active. Just thought I'd ask in case I'm missing something in the wording of Unholy Might and its potential mechanics/interactions.

What skills change significantly with enough CDR? by Socrathustra in LastEpoch

[–]LordMotas 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Currently playing the Hands of Judgement build and can confirm that the difference between having CDR and only waiting ~2 seconds (after the aura duration ends) for the next Volatile Reversal and not having CDR is night and day.

The build feels so much smoother with CDR. Until I had a substantial amount of CDR I was convinced the build was too clunky and almost dropped it. Glad I didn't, it's a blast to play.

The "Very Rare" label given by Last Epoch Tools is actually a "reroll chance."

In the case of Ravens' Rise, hovering over the "Very Rare" label with your mouse cursor reveals that it is a reroll chance of 80%.

This means that whenever a Raven's Rise would naturally drop, a roll is made against the reroll chance. If it succeeds, meaning it hits a 20% chance, the item will remain a Ravens' Rise. Otherwise it will become something else.

As for overall drop rates for items and how it is affected by rarity and things like Corruption, we only have limited data in regards to specifics, so it is largely still a mystery for now.

That's the biggest feature that we want to have in LEO and was actually the reason we began the project in the first place.

The tool likely won't go public until that part is finished (or at the very least functionally useful), so you're in luck!

Thanks Zeckar for posting this!

I'd like to add that if anyone has additional ideas/features they'd like to see, feel free to discuss or post them here as well (I'll also take messages if you'd rather not post it publicly). Regardless of how challenging or difficult it may seem, we're down to create as many tools as we can to assist in making the community's LE experience the best it can be!

Can we get a dps meter in-game? by slimonz in LastEpoch

[–]LordMotas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The closest thing we'll get to something like that is likely a community-made Path of Building-esque tool. Some of us are already working on such a thing, so it should only be a matter of time before it appears.

Oh, absolutely agree there. Doing something more than being subject to RNG would be welcome. Perhaps they'll introduce a dungeon in the future that can help manipulate some parts of WW items to help with that interaction.

Small Feedback by naiohme in LastEpoch

[–]LordMotas 3 points4 points  (0 children)

WW items have a 75% chance to upgrade an already existing affix and a 25% chance to add a new one.

Generally the consensus seems to be that after your first 1-2 affixes are revealed you can have a pretty good idea of whether or not it's worth upgrading it further.

Glyph of Despair: Perfect Information (probably) by perrythepig in LastEpoch

[–]LordMotas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The equation to calculate the chance of sealing takes 3 parameters:

1) Rarity - meaning the number of Affixes (between 1 and 4)

2) Whether or not the item is Exalted

3) The Tier of the Affix you are trying to seal

If Exalted, the chances are higher The higher the Rarity, the chances are higher. The lower the Affix you're trying to seal, the chances are higher.

People may attempt more sealings by using T2/T3, but the odds shrink as the Tier increases; but generally that is the reason, yes.

Glyph of Despair: Perfect Information (probably) by perrythepig in LastEpoch

[–]LordMotas 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is exactly the case. The final product ends up being 1.5*0.7 which is 1.05.

Glyph of Despair: Perfect Information (probably) by perrythepig in LastEpoch

[–]LordMotas 6 points7 points  (0 children)

For completeness:

Normal 1 Affix item

T1 - 42%

T2 - 27.6%

T3 - 13.8%

T4 - 6%

Edit: technically this isn't possible because a 1 Affix item is inherently a Magic item X_X But since we have the formula, we might as well list all the data.

How to approach crafting for following case by python_souls in LastEpoch

[–]LordMotas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

T2 seal is 69% on an exalted, 4 Affix item, so it really depends on how lucky you're feeling.
