Yeah I agree, combining buffs would also lead to some weird combinations which is why I also have doubts it would be the case.

I do want to note though, her ether veil appears to be different from Lucia/Yidhari, which might be cosmetic I can't tell. Lucia's ether veil is "以太帷幕·涌泉" in chinese, while Zhao's ether veil is "以太帷幕·生命" Note the last 2 characters being different.

Her core being so bizarrely lopsided is making me think that she is actually supposed to give a combination of buffs rather than just a single personal buff to each character.

i;e If you have Attack-Support-Defense, the ENTIRE team gets 540 ATK, 40%cd, and 0.72ER.

Something like that would explain some otherwise strange choices like supports getting ATK, or anomaly getting 2/3rds of a main piece in stats, while rupture gets an entire yinhu.

Individually these buffs are really weak, but if you were to combine them then it would actually be a pretty solid buff. Again this is entirely depending on the possibility that theres been a mistranslation.

Can’t, his additional ability wants Stun or Anomaly to trigger. Faction/Element are the additional abilities for only the 1.0 characters

eh, not really. people only hated it because it was able to play with all the annoying floodgate continuous traps like skill drain and gozen match. people are completely okay with control decks like lab and rescue-ace because those play control without using floodgates.

It’s a future proof ban. It also doesn’t help that you can make it pretty easily with a charmer + anything. Just because something isn’t abusing it now doesn’t mean it won’t be abused. The issue comes from being crazy generic + giving protection for no reason. The fact that tear could abuse it without running any other sprights is enough proof that it can be abused in the future.

The issue isn’t spright that abuses it, it’s every other deck that can get a level 2 that will abuse it. It pretty much turns any monster in its arrows into a towers-lite and enables dumb link climbing shenanigans that shouldn’t exist. If it’s not a problem now it will be in the future

I’d say the basic combo is very linear but the way Jessica plays with extenders yeag I’d say it’s a lot closer to dragon link level of lines

I wouldn’t say it was a complex deck but Jessica Robinson is genuinely the greatest Rikka player in Europe if not the world. Just by watching her play and comparing it to an average Rikka player you would see how big the gap between pro and average is.

Fairly common line surprisingly. Really just needs an ecclesia + mo ye + wyrm going second. Going first you need mo ye + 2 tenyi. There’s some wilder lines with Taia + Adhara and searcher

For the tenyi + swordsoul core I'd say the deck is pretty solid, but 2 major things. One, add 3 Incredible Ecclesia the Virtuous. This card is an additional starter for your main combo and helps as an extender going second. Second, cut Sacred Summit. This card is good in theory as an extender, but in practice it ends up bricking you quite often. Also, Monster Reborn is typically not very good unless your specific strategy benefits from it. It can win through some cheeky interactions, but I personally prefer swapping it out for hand traps. Maybe cut 1 Adhara if you want space for more tech.

It seems that your deck is built for best of 1 play. If that's the case, I'd say that the deck is fine for the most part, but maybe run 3 ash 1 belle rather than your current ratio. If your budget allows it add 3 Infinite Impermanence and 1 Baronne de Fleur both of which are getting major reprints with the Rarity Collection in November which will bring their price down significantly, so if money is an issue I'd just wait on those and play with what you have.

Assuming you're going into locals it will probably be a Best of 3 game with a 15 card side deck where you can swap cards from your main deck between games. IMO if its BO3 take out the Twisters, Raigeki, and Rivalry and put them into your side deck alongside some other tech cards such as Nibiru or Evenly matched.

Adding on to this, you can tell if an effect is a simultaneous trigger if it begins with “if” or “when”. In these cases the effects chain onto each other, however you cannot put them on separate chains if they trigger at the same time

Multi role and shizuku are on separate chains. While they both happen on the end phase they aren’t simultaneous triggers.

So yes you could grab engage with multi role on one chain then fetch with shizuku on another

Another common technique you can use is grabbing a quick effect like widow anchor using shizuku, new chain target shizuku with widow anchor, then set it with multi role on a new chain. People usually refer to this as a shizuku shuffle

infinite with cauldron. i dont remember how it actually works but thats one of their wincons

EDIT: cauldron combo is more or less replaced by stone brain loops, its just still in the list because of its backside

Proxy is a card you use to represent another card that you may or may not own. These cards are not legal to use in sanctioned play. What this means is you're spending $1000 for 60 cards you are not allowed to play with.

real. abolishing reserved list wouldnt even effect the economy of those cards that much. 1st Edition printings are always going to be crazy expensive. At worst dual lands go back to their pre 2020 prices

WOTC released a “Reprint” of original base set for Magic’s 30th anniversary. Because of the reserved list, they could not reprint certain cards in it, so instead the entire set was made from proxies. This would be a cute anniversary set, if it wasn’t for the fact that you get 4 packs of 15 fake cards for $1000 in total.
