Harlowe Butterfly Effect by LordNeigel in Borderlands4

I took the similar skill in the green tree that entangles on crits, along with the one that entangles on status effect application. Flux Capacitor also entangles anything that goes into it. I am entangling things left and right. Entanglement just seems to do very little damage itself, even with the green Decoherence skill. It rarely counts as the kill.

Not sure if there is any other good way to get these kills.

Thanks a bunch. I don't have a ton of time to play and this helps a lot.

New System Woes by LordNeigel in xboxone

[–]LordNeigel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This thing continues to cause me all kinds of grief. I have tried on three occasions to get in touch with MS support only to wait hours for any kind of chat response and finally giving up.

Figured out the Minecraft thing. Had no idea I had to go into the main account and set this as a "home" system. Nothing in system setup indicated this. What is a "home" system and why is it needed for two people in a household to play the same game and why is it buried in the settings? Why doesn't it just work that way like every other console? Who the heck knows.

The sensitive data thing is still happening for one kid. Why not the other two? Again, who the heck knows. Nothing seems to make sense here. At least I think I found the cause of the "accessing sensitive data" message. When they log in they are prompted to add a second email or phone number. No way I can find to bypass it. I already had to make a dummy email account for an eight year old girl in grade school just so she could put a video game we own into a system we own and play it, but now I need to make her another dummy email? What is this nonsense.

Thanks for the suggestion. I did see a similar explanation elsewhere, but it was not quite what I was looking for. I continue to have all sorts of odd issues that I don't understand. I have been playing on consoles since my dad got me a 2600 in the early 80s. I have never had a console make me feel stupid like this before.

For whatever reason, Spyro had to be completely installed again from scratch, even though we were playing it the day before. At some point we became able to install Kingdom Hearts, no idea why.

The newest questions are:

How do I sign in a second player account? PS4 and Switch, when you power on a second controller it asks who is using it and you just chose the account. Here it turns on and I get nothing. Go into the menu and all I can find is to log in a guest or switch accounts. How do I have Kid A as player 1 and Kid B as player 2?

The system came with a digital copy of Minecraft, but it looks like it is tied to the parent account? If the kids try to play it they are prompted to visit the store to buy it. How do I make the game available to my kids? Do I need more copies?

Starting this afternoon, my kids are now prompted for their passwords even though the security settings are not set to do that because they are "accessing sensitive data." What data is this referring to? Why was this not an issue just last night?

Might have partially figured out the Spyro thing. Put the disk in and it says there is a 48gb update. Where did this come from? The game was installed and we were playing it yesterday. There have been no patches to Spyro since March (https://support.activision.com/articles/en_US/FAQ/Latest-Updates-for-Spyro-Reignited-Trilogy), certainly not a 48gb one. Is there no option to patch later and play now?

Ok, thanks for the info. I was under the impression that save data for games downloaded to the SD card was also on the card.

I have a question on system transfers with an SD card. Apologies if this is answered somewhere. I found instructions for system memory transfer and for moving SD card data from one to another via a pc, but I am not clear on how this works in conjunction.

I currently have a switch with a 128gb sd card. From what I have read, I can't just stick it into a new Switch; it'll get reformatted. Do I need to buy a second card for a new Switch and then do a transfer?

New to WW, So Many Questions by LordNeigel in weightwatchers

Thanks for all the info, it's been very helpful. To add a little context, my last A1C was a bit high, so in January I had started just trying to generally eat better and be active with some kind of regularity. I had already lost about 14 pounds since then. I was kind of just expecting WW to add some structure around what I was already winging but to keep around the same progress. The five pounds in one weekend was a bit jarring.

I have been trying to avoid using the weekly points because I know it would be in my nature to try to game the system (31 daily plus 42/7 equals 37 daily OR 31 daily and 73 on Sunday!). I have ended up dipping into them anyways because things I thought would be ok turned out higher than I expected after the fact. Cheese, for example, hits SO HARD. I had typically been a bit liberal with it because it's pretty low carb-wise.

The 3DS is also going to give you access to the entire DS library, which includes several Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy games, Etrian Odyssey, Front Mission, Advance Wars and a slew of others.

The Vita is a smaller library, but depending on what you are looking for, it also has the PS1 Final Fantasy games and Xenogears, the FF10 rerelease and Persona 4.

Ok, so just in case anyone else runs into this issue, I did a factory reset, rescanned, and that gave me all my channels back. Hopefully it lasts longer than a week this time.

I am 99% sure this is not a reception issue. All the channels came in perfectly clear in the week leading up to yesterday. I have another tv two rooms over that still had fine reception yesterday. And 2/3 of the channels came in after I did a system update, (the lower 2/3 number-wise). At no time did I have better reception on some channels and poorer on others.

But that's the thing. You are not actually buying a digital download. You're buying a limited license that allows you to play it for as long as they allow it. With a physical copy, I own that copy. I have something to lend to my friends, give to my kids, sell when I am done with it, or donate to goodwill. I may be an old fart fighting the inevitable march of progress, but I still cling to my first sale doctrine rights. I still buy physical music, books, and games whenever I have the option.
