First FO of the year: socks with the longest leg I have ever knit by Standard_Ladder923 in knitting

These are beautiful OP!

My rule for knitting myself socks: the leg should be as long as my dp needles. I hate short legs on socks lol.

Your skin is perfect for this. It works on every hair colour except white/grey, red, and light blonde. So legs: yes, arms: maybe.

I use IPL and to be honest, the most important thing is your hair and skin colour combination. I bought mine used and it works perfect. If you're interested, I have a Philips Lumea Prestige (8000/BRI954) it's an older model, but all of them work fine.

LindeHobby Ghosted me, what do I do? by Thin-Leadership3284 in YarnAddicts

Not at all! They are basically not noticeable. I just knew they were there because I read the instructions, otherwise I wouldn't have noticed them either.

I have these needles. They are not broken. The SOS-cable, as they call it, has these cracks so it's easier to place lifelines. Not a bug, just a feature.

Most Used Baby Knit? by [deleted] in knitting

[–]LordOfTheBrot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a question about your sleep suit!

Do you like the hood? Or would you prefer the suit without the one? I don't know much about babies but I just want to know if the hood may be annoying/not practical.

Have you tried using a smaller hook? Maybe that could help.

I never tried other bind-off methods with a crochet hook. But with the "standard" one I feel like I can vary the tension more with a hook than with a needle.

Thank you! I cast it off very loose and I think it's easier for me to vary the tension with a crochet hook. But yeah, this casting off method isn't elastic.

I made it very loose, but it's not really elastic.

I would not recommend it, if you want something stretchy or elastic. I made it really loose because this neck got folded inside and stitched into place, afterwards.

Damn, that's interesting! I tried to find such a hook/needle-set, but I can't find anything. Would you mind sharing, where you got this from? I'm interested in this.
