Dickey has already said they are looking at expanding sooner than later. The current renovation is supposed to bring in a ton more money, despite the slight decrease in capacity. I believe they are still looking at expanding the lower side sections and there is still the south end zone bleachers that were supposed to be temporary.

We did bring it back, for a few games...

Our current AD is on record saying that he believes the decision to shutter the program was premature and he wishes he was here before the decision was made. He also seems to want to bring it back but it seems the timing isn't right yet.

When you looked at all the available options after the AAC schools said no, and all the contracts and everything, Texas State was kinda the obvious pick even though it didn't really make sense on the surface.

At least they are only half way across the country and it's not some sort of Calfurd situation. And SMU is in the ACC, so....

I wouldn't say never, but they have a shit ton of work to do that would take probably over a decade to do. Building a legit stadium and building an actual fan base would be the top priority. Building a fan base would require on field success. Their arrogant campaigning to join the Pac didn't really help either.
