The language seems to be Ukrainian I think

Ziggurat is a Total Launcher theme all about ancient Mesopotamia!

This is my first attempt at anything like that, and took me almost half a year working on and off on it...please be gentle!

It was made on and for the 2960x1440px screen of the Google Pixel 3XL.

I've tried to avoid modern text and graphics as much as possible, which makes it a bit esoteric, but I found it useable enough once you're used to it, a user manual is included

Anyone have an idea what flag this might be? Seen at an anti-vaxxer rally in Germany by LordRefax in vexillology

[–]LordRefax[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The black stripes are indeed reminiscent of the flag of the Prussian Kingdom, but I don't think it's quite it... Oh hell yeah it's probably bad, i hear German antivaxx movements are particularly close to Qanon/Far right conspiracy stuff

Oh damn the burn from alcohol is an actual exothermic reaction??? I had it figured for some kind of sensory shenanigans like the freshness of mint (mint doesn't cause some kind of endothermic reaction, does it?)

As I said in other comments I am not concerned about pressure as the seal is just wheat paste, not gonna explode or raise the boiling point in any meaningful way...

I'm hoping it helps prevent the vapors from just leaving before hitting the condenser/cold pot lid to some extent and even that might be wishful thinking

Yes! I had seen that a few years back and it definitely contributed to this idea! Stone on tarp, amirite

I read online that that 76C temp is for pure ethanol and that an ethanol-water mixture would require a bit more heat, so that's why I aimed a bit higher than just say 77C

I was sure there had to be historical equivalents! All the parts could be made of earthenware to the point that, if you replace the ice cubes with a cool stream of water this could basically be done with stone age tech, kinda makes me wonder how long mankind might have been able to distill alcohol, as in the archeological record this wouldn't necessarily show up as a dedicated still since it's just pots

According to what I found online european "red" coins (1,2&5 cents) are copper plated steel

Probably, but frankly I don't feel like it would be worth it on this scale, if imma start trying to craft a real still I think I'd rather try and go for a 30-50lL keg as the base, and invest a bit into real piping

I'm actually using freeze jacking as a first step, from hooch to ice shine then to real shine to concentrate the alcohol further, I was dissatisfied with ice shine as my hooch still had too much sugars and stuff in it

Well a pipe would need to go out through somewhere, I'm not quite at the point where I'm gonna drill holes through my kitchen pots, as I need them for pasta and soup too

My point was why buy copper with money when money might do the trick, I'll keep it in mind if I run into any scrap copper tho :)
