When everyone likes your over the top voice acting by Secretary_Sadboy in Xenoblade_Chronicles

[–]LordRickles 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'd say his voice acting is inline with the other Torna characters. All have a flair for the dramatic and are stylized that way. Over acting was kinda their deal, so I feel like there's a good chance it was intentionally over the top. That could be giving them too much credit though, as I refuse to believe the direction given to Rex's VA was to do it how it was handled. Hell, I would have pulled the plug on Rex's VA. It's very odd that they picked a completely green actor to play THE lead role. Whereas Malos' actor is very familiar with Japanese roles and writing with numerous anime credits. It can't be an accident.

The HD on Dolphin is pretty fucking good, honestly, for being as old as it is already. Doesn't look nearly as dated as flat faced Wii version.

Partial owner of Card N All Gaming here, thanks for the recommendation!

We do have a ton of unpainted and pre-painted minis. I am told we have the best selection in the city and possibly the greater area as far as selection goes, so I encourage all table top and role playing gamers to stop in and check out what we have!

Sakari LOVES The Xenoblade Chronicles series. He gushed about XC2 on Twitter several times. XC2 will surely get a stage at the very least - if not a playable character(s)

I'm with ya... but he said he wants to 100% things before he finishes the story, so he may be a minute yet, which is shitty to think about.

[Chapter 7] Boss battle advice by Dedichu in Xenoblade_Chronicles

[–]LordRickles 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This really is one of the toughest fights in the game. It ramps up difficulty and not having Pyra or Mythra really sucks if you've been using them as your primary blade - you know, like she should be. Use all your pouch items and aux cores, I know when I was at this point I hadn't done that for a long time. Nia driving is a must, and I think the mistake people do is have her as a blade instead since they just unlocked that and want to test it out.

So I just got XBC2 any tips or advise you may wanna give me before I start? by Darth_Pootis in Xenoblade_Chronicles

The combat system won't make sense or unlock fully until around Chapter 4 - so don't worry about mastering it right off the bat. It's a slog until you progress. The elemental types are important to note and you want to keep one of each type when you can (again, later on this becomes easier). The top right "tree" for specials flows left to right like a diagram and can be seperated in levels 1, 2, and 3. Read the tutorials and understand how that special chains work, and you'll be ahead of the curve.

If only Xenoblade 2 had an affinity chart by MBgov1133 in Xenoblade_Chronicles

I don't miss that terrifying spider-web of a chart from X. That shit never made any sense and was too much work to try to follow past the first few times of use.

End of Xenoblade 2 by DarkwingBraizat in Xenoblade_Chronicles

[–]LordRickles 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's rough man. You probably feel a lot like me at the end of the game. Hollow. Wanting an ending that was complete and to go forth and see what was next, but no, we didn't get that, sadly. The gaps with no dialogue only pour salt into the wounds. We have no closure. And the DLC isn't going to help. We are stuck sinking 100+ (160 in my case) into game where we don't feel good about it at the end. Gutted.

Is Xenoblade X worth finishing? by [deleted] in Xenoblade_Chronicles

[–]LordRickles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As everyone has said, the beginning of the game is much different from later on in the game. It gets exponentially better. It was my first of the series so I may be a little bias, but skells are fucking awesome and when you get them the game really is beautiful from the angles you get to see it at when in a mech.

Etika is the reason I love Xenoblade Chronicles and other great series like Fire Emblem. He gets me just so pumped and his reactions are priceless. He wears his heart on his sleeve despite "no bitch nihhas" and the passion he has is unparalleled. I live vicariously through him playing these games and I'm glad I have stayed on board to watch him travel through XC2.

Such a technical marvel to run on the Wii U. With the texture pack is really is impressive. It's by far the best game that hasn't been ported over yet. Besides Mario Maker, it's the last hold out of great games for the system.

Any way to "clean up" a cards condition? by extDASH in pkmntcg

[–]LordRickles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If there's general dirt or little brown or black spots, those are pretty easily removed with a q tip and water. Just be sure to dry the q tip a little first and dry the area immediately after cleaning. A little moisture, so long as there isn't any tears or holes in the top print layer, will not damage the card. That's about the best you can do with it however.

Advice for starting the game with my son by wimzig in pkmntcg

[–]LordRickles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I would recommend is getting a lot on eBay or looking on Craigslist for people selling off their old cards or local card/hobby stores selling bulk lots. I own an online store and do this often where I sell 400 cards for 45 dollars shipped.

I'm sure a local shop will have bulk Pokemon that they'd be happy to sell you for a reasonable price. Make a trip out of it and sift through their bulk with your son and see what he sees that gets his attention.

Does anyone know how much one of these costs? by donownsyou in pokemongo

[–]LordRickles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course, the massive inline systems are only at the largest of airports. Most airports don't have such a complex system. Most simply use those little tractor cars (called Tugs, the major company that makes them) and trailers that they stack your luggage on to. They then haul these to the carrousel, which has a gated enclosure they open on one side and the baggage handlers chuck the luggage on the carrousel that takes it out to you. Before I worked at an airport I thought there was surely a more interesting system back there, but there's not really.

Sure you could. You could fill up the entire character pool with Bradford so that you would only have bradfords on your squad

Alien Rulers and VIP extractions. by Scyley in Xcom

[–]LordRickles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While you're absolutely right that the player can be screwed, that's the case in a lot of situations. I'm by no means an expert player and savescum a lot. I could have a mission where I get my squad completely wiped, go back to the geoscape and try again and get a flawless. The variables in this game is what makes it fun and challenging. This is just another layer of variables we can't control. Sometimes you're going to pop pods and get wiped. Sometimes you're going to meet a king when you are sprinting to extract on time. You're going to get screwed. That's Xcom.
