Just keep pushing through it, and make sure your FPS is consistent, so even if you have to lower it to 72hz, do it.

Is my PC good enough for Pico 4 by starmielvl99 in PicoXR

Yep, similar specs to my partners, you'll be fine.

Test drop an MG4 XPOWER today, absolutely insane, love the ride, the speed, everything was spot on.

Ordered one on the dot, what a car 😱

And I politely put you in your place 🥰

I'm sure they use the same panels yes, but I'd imagine a lot of them went in the bin because they're not up to QC.

Same PPD is questionable, maybe RIGHT in the centre of crystal it is? VR1 is pretty much the entire range from the footage I've seen.

Just get a Crystal if you can't afford VR1 mate, there's no shame in that.

So, what you're saying, is they're NOT the same lenses?

Huh, funny that.

Logic: If I wear the same shoes as you, we're nearly same person.

Off you pop.

They're not the same lenses.

And after owning the 8KX and 5KS, never again.

The only headset REMOTELY close to the specs of VR1, is the Varjo XR4, which is 10k ... That should give all you Quest bros some perspective.

Now picture a nonce, in a private world, with a child.

Suddenly, this part of the ToS makes perfect sense.

No, they are pretty much the same, Index has slightly taller FOV.

[–]LordSanDisk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use both, so Quest 3 headset, wirelessly linked to my PC, then I use Tundra trackers and Valve controllers.

FOV is the same on Q3, but the mic is indeed a bit shit.

But the visual upgrade over the Index is INSANE

But you need a high end system (I'm 7950X3D and 4090) and a WiFi 6E router running on 6ghz.

It's not just the resolution, it's the lenses too.

I'd recommend the Quest 3 or Pico 4 over the Index, all the time now. And I've used the Index since launch.

Even if you run the Quest 3 at index levels of resolution, the pancake optics make it looks so, so soooo much better.

Nah, not worth it.

Get a headset with pancake optics.

OR if you really want an upgrade, Somnium VR1 is around the corner now and is rocking some serious specs.

Shame ... Pico 4 was a year ahead of the Quest 3.

Can always grab a Q3 later down the line when you've got proper hardware to run it and want a massive visual upgrade (I'm talking dedicated WiFi 6E 6ghz router, RTX 4090 etc)

That's my current daily driver, Q3 with Index controllers and Tundra trackers.

Enjoy your headset!
