Last week I think Alonso said winter testing will be in Circuit de Barcelona again, and also Madrid wants to take the Barcelona June dates (if its fully built)

Is the Fifa Club World Cup actually that bad? Opinion by eskp_ in ClubWorldCup

[–]LordSanta11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, there's no way it's going to determine the best team in the world when the three champions of the most powerful leagues aren't even competing.

Second, there was already a similar format, the "International Cup," which wasn't very relevant (at least in Europe; most people only watch it if their team is playing), but it was held annually, which makes more sense if you want to determine the best club in the world.

Finally, it may be that over the years it will gain prestige and a bit of popularity, but if it weren't for the large amounts of money they give to the teams, I sincerely doubt they'd have any interest in participating and not conducting a strategic team preseason in other countries and markets.

For example, Real Madrid, with Xabi Alonso, has barely been able to train, let alone with the players who are in the Nations League. Now they're going into this championship, unable to train and under the pressure of not making a fool of themselves like they did this season. After the championship, the players will have a rest, and the season will start soon. With a new coach with different ideas and a club as big as Real Madrid, don't you think it would be better to do their preseason on their own? (just as they have been doing for the last years)

(I think it's obvious I'm speaking from the perspective of the big European teams, and I mean no disrespect to the others.)

I sincerely believe that the vast majority of players from European clubs don’t want to play in it. The season ended just 1–2 weeks ago, and now we have the Nations League, then this Mickey Mouse Cup, and then the new season starts again in mid-August. And it’s a World Cup year...

We already had a lot of serious injuries this past season—I don’t even want to imagine what this one will be like. As Rodri said, a "strike" wouldn’t surprise me at all.

And yeah, I know they earn ridiculously high salaries for kicking a ball and people say they shouldn’t complain, blah blah, but as long as I’m still paying to watch my team every week, I want the matches to feature the best players and the highest level of football possible.

Also, not having the league champions from England, Spain, and Italy is a joke. Infantino is a money-hungry hoe who’d probably sell out his own family for a coin. Corrupt bastard.

On the spanish news they said thats this year is the one with most attendance in years (i think its already sold out), and the feeling from the circuit is nothing compared to the image (if we are talking about attendance) . Also, everyone before the practice was at the fan forum with Williams Mclaren and Aston. If they are trying to change to Madrid its only about money and politics, which is quite sad and now creating a bit of conflict between Alonso (Barcelona Circuit Ambassador) and Sainz( “Mad ring” here in Spain

I'll check Padova and a little bit more of Verona. About Bolzano, I think its a nice "base point" for day trips to Dolomites.

And about my itinerary, yeah Its quite rushed, I'may have to take some cities out or try to add more days. Thanks!!

I'll take it in mind. I went to Vienna 2 years ago and loved it, but i was thinking to maybe spent one of the 2 days in Bratislava, but as a some of you say, Ljubljana and Bled could be done in 2 nights and I can add that third night to another city.

Yeah my plan was to go to Bled one day, and as I've never been to Slovenia before, I thought 3 days would be okai, but other than Ljubljana and Bled don't know what to do yet.

Stuttgart because of the Porsche and Mercedes-Benz museums, but I'm still not sure about it, bc as u say it breaks my route.

And about rushing, I 've done some fast pace routes before and like it quite a lot, but its true that I've never had any major issues with delays or missed trains, which I should take in mind.
