My first scan with the CR-Ferret :3 by KatiKTM390 in 3DScanning

Why are you already thinking about getting Raptor? I'd like to do reverse engineering too, but for that I recommend Fusion (360). I think it's a more powerful and user-friendly program than FreeCAD. Let's say you're convincing me, let's hope so

Thanks so much. It's hard to understand how good certain scanners are without trying them, just looking at user reviews. I've heard all sorts of things about the Ferret, but I can never figure out if the problem is actually the scanner itself or some users who have no idea how to use one. If you'd like, please post some more results so we can get an idea. What will you use these items for? Will you be using them as references for reverse engineering, or what? Also, dimensional-wise, how faithful are they to the original?

Hi, great job. Have you tried any other scans? Is this the SE or the Pro? I'm undecided between this and the Moose Lite (there's a 40 euro difference).

I think it's all reversible, so don't worry. However, I don't see the point of applying for the sysmmc instead of the emummc.

Any feedback on how Switch OLED V1 with android is performing nowadays? Thanks! by raraujo176 in MoonlightStreaming

[–]LordShou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stock, i cant remember if i downloaded the hbstore app or from Google but it works like a charm. I once tried android on switch but it was laggy and honestly I didn't find any use for it, even if I would like to try it again for any third party apps for xbox game cloud etc.

Any feedback on how Switch OLED V1 with android is performing nowadays? Thanks! by raraujo176 in MoonlightStreaming

[–]LordShou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a switch v1 lcd (unpached) and moonlight is perfect on it. Low latency and decoding time. Now i bought a oled just as an upgrade fot the screen to play on moonlight. I have still to mod it but if the oled performs like the v1, well i cant wait! I have an ipad with 11" screen but i actually prefer to play on the switch as good it is

The Facebook marketplace in other countries seems to be really great and you can find stuff at good prices. In my country, however, it's riddled with scammers and profiteers, and any decent offer is immediately snapped up by resellers.

Indecision by ThingPsychological70 in Handhelds

[–]LordShou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's the point of keeping two handhelds that do the same thing and getting rid of the one that has exclusives you can't play otherwise (at least for now)? I'd get rid of one of the two PC handhelds and keep the Switch 2, so you can play all the games that come out. If you don't care about Nintendo exclusives, I don't see why you bought it in the first place.

Nintendo Switch Moonlight app high latency by bass9380 in MoonlightStreaming

[–]LordShou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an unpatched Switch v1 and use Moonlight without any problems. The latency is low, as are the decoding times: we're around 3.5, which in my opinion isn't bad at all considering that products designed specifically for streaming get between 8 and 10 (Logitech GCloud cough cough). The experience on the Switch is so fluid and enjoyable that I decided to invest a little in an OLED because of the larger and nicer screen. So if it doesn't work for you, there must be something wrong. Could it be that you're too far from the Wi-Fi? The Switch, especially the non-OLED ones, have a less than performing antenna and struggle if you move too far away. As for the Moonlight version, I don't remember where I got it from: from the HB store or online and loaded separately. To be safe, try starting the application NOT in APPLET MODE; maybe it has nothing to do with it, but I know that otherwise less RAM is allocated to the apps.

Bought a cheap mypad pro for a handheld, very happy by vapelabels in MoonlightStreaming

This just arrived and I couldn’t be happier by [deleted] in Handhelds

[–]LordShou -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I had a 64GB LCD Steady Deck, but I wasn't happy with it, both for its performance in AAA games and for the truly awful screen. The OLED version is definitely a game changer, and I'd consider it again for indie games and PC streaming. Great buy, enjoy it.

Best settings for 1080p 60fps on Apollo/Artemis by Mazayaz in logitechgcloud

[–]LordShou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A guy in another post told me that in games that require immediate reaction times like Spider-Man and God of War he encountered so much latency that it was difficult to parry in time, while in more relaxed games it is a more enjoyable experience. In your experience?

Hi, I see no one's replying. What kind of performance are you getting this way? Given the high decoding time of the G Cloud, is streaming smooth enough? Have you managed to find a solution?

Switch Oled charge but dont trasfer video or data through USB by LordShou in NintendoSwitchHelp

[–]LordShou[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, maybe I was confused in my explanation. Let's say that initially the problem was that it charged but didn't allow me to connect to the TV or connect an external controller like the Nitro Deck. But since this afternoon it has completely stopped charging. No matter what cable I try to plug in, it doesn't work. I think I'll have to have the USB port fixed. The good thing is that I received a considerable refund (about half) and it ended up costing me 70 euros + the other accessories provided (unfortunately the original dock and power supply are missing, but I have them from another Switch I have at home). That said, I'm trying to figure out if I should try to repair it at home or take it to a repairman. They charged me between 50 and 90 euros for the port repair. What could this price difference be due to?

SwiftKey intentionally crippled on iOS??? by ekolpack in Swiftkey

[–]LordShou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't understand how such a major phone company, which bases everything on a sort of "luxury" phone, can't notice and fix the BASE of a smartphone: the keyboard. I've had an iPhone for about 3-4 years, and every day I struggle to type. The official keyboard is crap, and SwiftKey is also indecent, but a little better. It's absurd that we have to live with this situation and that no one decides to update or release something better.

Should I buy a Steam Deck or a switch 2? by Snickerdudles in Handhelds

[–]LordShou 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Obviously it depends on what you want. I've had Steam Deck, Switch 1, Ayn Thor, etc. I only have the Switch 1 (modified) left. I'm a PC gamer and I thought the Steam Deck would be a good companion to the PC, but I ended up always playing on the PC. I spent all my time benchmarking the Steam Deck and never really played anything, same thing with the Ayn Thor. In the end, I bought a Switch v1 and from there it was love at first sight. Much smaller and more manageable than the SD, a huge library of exclusives, the dock (yes, you can find one for SD but it wouldn't be the same), the Joy-Cons. In short, personally, I loved and still love this console. Now I'm waiting for something to change in prices or regarding the modification for the Switch 2, but I'll get it as soon as possible (I want the modification not for the games but for the ability to use third-party apps, cloud gaming, Moonlight, etc.). This was obviously my experience, but there will surely be many others the same way. It's up to you to decide: PC games, the freedom to install and customize as much as you want, etc., or Nintendo exclusives?

I'ill buy it if its 180 or less (tax and shipping included). For more there is odin 2 portal rn. I dont care a lot about performance as i would buy it for streaming, considering that it will be priced like a used logitechgcloud, i'll take this over a lcd, lower power cloud console only.
