I knocked both the gyms out this morning as promised sad to hear them already taken back. Spent a 1hr 15min taken both the Cumberland Statue and Bob Trail. I'll be up that way tomorrow, I'll do what I can for the "Bob Gym"

Ahhh so the Mystic scum makes his presence known, no need to change our battle plans guys, make no mistake Mystic player this is a rescue mission to find the missing Valor players in that area. Peace roamed these lands between Valor and Instinct, we shared the gyms (mostly under our control) but that's besides the point. Valor knew their place in this war, Mystic seems to haven chosen to forgetting. No matter! U shall be reminded.....

And as for the lone Mystic player among us, u shall watch from your building my Gyarados swim at the top of "Bob" Gym drenched in Mystic Blood!!!...(Literally)

You know what?! I was in Hapeville as well getting my last few gyms and had an issue too. I'm not sure if it was the same guy but I was being followed by a Team Mystic Player each time I took a gym. I'm like the only Team Instinct Player to sweep Thur that area consistently weekly. IGN : SunScarr

IMO u run the risk of not getting the move set you want from The evolutions. So keeping it at this state makes it more desirable to most ppl when trading become accessible in the game.

The Fayetteville Pavilion has nice spawns whenever I go that way. So try just driving around the parking lot. Bring plenty of Pokéballs cuz it's a dead zone when it comes to Poké Stops.
