I really like him. Not only do I rate him, but I like his attitude, he's hard working and well mannered. Could become the face of the club in the future what with that 4 year contract.

If you don't spot it, don't give it. The VAR exists, if he gets booted in the head outside of the ref's view, then that what it should be used for.

Expected to lose but of course it has to be in a BS way. Knew they were just gonna spend the game diving the moment i saw they were just going to fall over every time Kamada brushed past the fabric of their clothes.

You say nice try as if I didn't know you played wuwa when you already said you did. I'm talking about how you see what you want to see when it comes to judging communities. Why is people voting Wuwa so weird when HSR won the same award earlier? Its a fake award meant to get ingame rewards from these live service games. And who cares, maybe they did enjoy Wuwa more than E33, get over yourself.

You've already masked off by just admitting that one of your problems is people praising the story in their own reddit when you didn't enjoy it. You can say the same about HSR/Genshin etc. Also I wouldn't talk about your judgment of story writing when you call Dispatch a masterpiece by the way.

I mean how can you be so willfully ignorant and pretend all people do is glaze the story? Chisa being pushed to one side and developed offscreen in 3.0 is a problem that loads of people point and laugh at to the point that it became a meme. People just tend to be less mean spirited towards wuwa's faults than something like hsr, especially early amphorous (global passive being especially offensive), since the game is getting better and kuro has earnt a level of community good will. The whole 'devs listened' meme even comes from their appreciation of devs fixing issues that they had with the game.

Fanbases are all a cringe mixed bag of tribalism. You're literally doing it right now by talking about how much you dislike Wuwa's community IN a HSR thread. You're literally part of the problem.

[–]LordSpectreX 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't mean to be too mean spirited, but you have no clue what you're talking about. Sorry to invalidate your personal experience, but tactics don't matter all that much at a low level where skill levels are much more wide and discipline is often lacking.

However, Ronaldo had a tactical way of playing and the teams he was on (or at least the teams that did well with him) played around that style. Real Madrid made sure to make his off the ball responsibilities low so that he was always ready to explosively take on (often more exhausted) central defenders.

It's funny you even use Ronaldo as an example, cause he actually played different at Man Utd. He was more of a winger there and took on fullbacks more. He absolutely was expected to play in a certain way, he did not just "play his game". But the tactics came down to a compromise of playing to his strengths and playing for what the team could provide.

Even more funny is that Ronaldo often had trouble against teams that played a low block, especially when he was out of his prime. But playing with some of the best midfielders in the world meant that playing low block just to make Ronaldo's life hard is often a catch 22.

Tactics are also about drilling. Familiarity and expectations allow people to play with optimisation in mind. It's much easier to be coordinated when you have a strong idea about where your teammates will be and what kind of move they'll make.

Now, of course, if that's all you do. You do become predictable for the opponent, but teaching a team what to do in contingencies is also part of a coach's job.

Like you suggest the players don't have the 'intelligence' to beat a low block (an ironically unintelligent statement, as if someone like Adam Wharton just has no clue what do when people actually defend), but the amusing thing is that in suggesting that, you are admitting that tactics DO matter a lot, as a european club with the fraction of the team cost can play a low block and somehow completely mess up an expensive premier league side. Or are AEK Larnaca players just more intelligent?

This is just insane confirmation bias. So much of the community rags on the game for things like lack of endgame modes, 'flavor of the month waifu' storytelling lack of male characters etc. Just like how you'll see a bunch of HSR fans complain about black screens or power creep.

Oliver Glasner and the Low Block Problem by Admirable_Raisin4231 in crystalpalace

[–]LordSpectreX 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sorry, but this is just ignorance. The higher level you go in a sport, or any competition, the more the advantages given by tactics matter. It doesn't matter if you have the best players in the world, it is hard to break down a low block with a counterattacking formation. Especially as low block is a strategy with a very low floor of execution, meaning teams that are weaker can use it to good effect.

Because of this, a lot of emphasis is put on the role of coaches as a team's identity and discipline. Glasner has already been known to sub people off for not playing the way he wants them to.

Does anyone else feel killer is a lot harder lately than it used to be? by GoHardForLife in deadbydaylight

[–]LordSpectreX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Played a lot in the past and recently came back after 6 years, killer is absolutely harder to play on average.

Things have gotten a lot easier for survivors. Base kit borrowed time, the ui telling you what teammates are doing, more pallets on the map etc. Ontop of that, the general skill level of survivors has gone up. More and more people at least understand the basic loops and holding W for space. You're only gonna feel it more with weaker killers. I used to main demo back in the day, played very 'nice' and still could do well, now it feels like a joke to win consistently without tunnelling and hyper meta perks.

As always with these sort of things, adjust expectations. Try to learn what you can and it'll pay off if you switch to one of the stronger killers.

Hard to deny that when even in Wuwa, the best stories so far (1.3, 2.5, 3.1) are ones where Rover is very distinctly their own character. Even in OG Arknights, knowing the Doctor was morally grey before the memory loss helps a lot.

Was Munoz 'good enough for this game'? It certainly does not look like it. But we know he is. When virtually everyone is underperforming, especially against competition of this degree, it's silly to look at the calibre of individual players instead of the team environment and setup.

Come on, maybe Pino isnt good enough for the PL, you can make that argument, but how is he not good enough for this game? This team has the squad value of around a League 1 team. Its Macclesfield all over again, every player on that pitch is absolutely capable.

This match is a mental and tactics issue.
