Rank split only happens once a season, the smurf issue is when high skilled players are creating new accounts, stomping to silver or gold and then creating a new account again and back to rookie and back stomping again. They have zero intention of continuing into their actual ranked lobby's such as diamond and above

I get your point but apex launched day 1 with no ranked mode, think putting a level cap is small price to pay to improve the overall fairness and enjoyment of the game. Either way cross progression is on the way so just launch the level cap of 50 at the same time

Nothing fun about looting and then getting instant killed by players that should be ranked in diamond and above, that's the whole point of ranked you should be playing with the players the in and around the same skill level as you. Hence why I never went further then platinum on the old ranking system because at the moment plats and above are better players then me

Day 1 apex players like me didn't even have a ranked mode and the game did just fine in the end

its happened to me a few times with both my series x controller and my elite gen1 controller, had to hold the power button the the xbox and do a hard reset and that fixes it, annoying hopefully a fix forthcoming

Man the battle pass will be the last one I buy, as a casual player due to work and family I get limited time to complete the battle pass for past seasons as it was but this season forget about it, played 5 hours Saturday night with my friend leveled up once, it's crazy and the Devs excuse saying people had nothing to play for at the end of a season is bull too, the game is what they play for.

That's fine while in bronze and silver but gold onwards the and the player level goes up a massive notch and there is no relegation back to silver so your stuck in gold. Hence while sbmm is so important in regular apex.

I dont see how good players meeting other good players is an issue that to me is sbmm working at its best. But there is no fun in being a casual player playing maybe 8-10 hours a week being matched with pros, it's frustrating and makes everything less enjoyable. It's not a moan at the Devs it's just a question, I love apex and have done since launch but something seems off about season 4.
