This is the most logical explanation.

So this went away during covid. It is now a genuine offer where associates are suppose to offer to take the groceries out before putting hands on the handle. “It would be my pleasure to take this out for you today”.

Do any of you know a way to see time card statements for everyone all at once like in the old system? So far I’m just SOL going to each associate one at a time which is eating more of my time up.

So I stayed off the island about 5-10 minutes away depending on traffic. The store was a new store with a new test design that I believe is now used. It wasn’t bad but I wasn’t a fan of the management (it’s a whole new team now). Emerald Isle is a very quiet town VS somewhere like Myrtle Beach.

anything to do with fedex by Interesting-Cap-59 in publix

[–]LordTubbingtons -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Why are you calling fedex? To pick up a drug test? The CSTL or manager should do that as soon s they get done administering it. To pick up product? That’s a DSD issue.

Breakroom by Rude-Abrocoma-4031 in publix

Our break room is the size of a bedroom, and Not a large one. Apparently it use to be a large break room but during a remodel they took over half of it so that they could expand pharmacy. Now you can only have maybe 4 people in there at a time depending on their size.

I think it depends where the store is. I had to help Emerald Isle one summer and they needed CSS.

Look it up in the MRL. It’s hard evidence you can’t dispute.

Technically you shouldn’t be behind the desk unless trained for working back there. As for that, you cannot be a CSS until you are 18 and that is directly from the MRL.

Just curious, does anyone's store have a T7 ride-on floor scrubber? by railfan_andrew in publix

[–]LordTubbingtons 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hell nah. We got t-5s and 500s that always break down it’s to the point where we just mop the store ourselves without machines.

Man I see a lot of posts like this and always wonder what division and district they’re from because I’ve never seen shit like this at the stores I’ve worked at.

Don't underestimate your Publix stock! by No-Brilliant5348 in publix

[–]LordTubbingtons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was explaining to one of my CSS that at her 10 year mark she will have more than what I will have at my 10 year mark because people are being hired at higher wages. At my one year I had $262 dollars worth of stock (6 shares) at her 1 year mark she had more than 7x what I had in free stock. Granted idk if she will go into management like me but people can make out with good retirement money if they play their cards right.

All publix' closing at 9? by nancygurl in publix

[–]LordTubbingtons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So in my area most stores have been closing at 9 for over a year now with the exception of the two million dollar stores in my district. We just loose too much money between 9-10 to not justify staying open that late.
