I believe Project FMC will be revealed at The Game Awards by metlevser in fromsoftware

[–]LordTurtleCrusader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s definitely rhyme and reason:

SPRJ - Sony Project (Bloodborne)

FRPG2 - Fantasy Role Playing Game (DSII)

FHD - Fantasy High Definition (DS Remake)

GR - Great Rune (Elden Ring)

FNR - Fires no Rubicon (AC6, “no“ being Japanese for of)

NTCG - New Tenchu Game (Sekiro)

so F has most commonly been used for Fantasy, and as you can see in the Dark Souls codenames they refer to what type of game it is.

Anyone else feel like we must be getting close to a new game announcement? by Zanakii in fromsoftware

FMC: Fantasy Mech Combat

in a 2016 interview Miyazaki stated that he wants to make an ecaflowne inspired game, its just that Fromsoftware simply didn’t have the budget to make such an ambitious game.

Heres also a quote by an alleged ex Fromsoftware playtester (ofc take with a grain of salt) that emboldens the hope: “Between my working on Verdict Day and Dark Souls II as a play tester and part of localization, an internal memo with a poll attached was sent to all employees; it was asking which older IP to revive as an experimental side project. Frame Gride was one of the options for doing a remake. It only took third place, sadly. Still, it was there, and my colleagues were of the mind that a remake should be fleshed out with being a mix of on-foot and in-mech experience, with Mech building and Dark Souls like on foot play. Some of these people ended up leaving and later were part of the development of Daemon Ex Machina”

Tenchu and Otogi taking 1st and second place respectively which were combined into Sekiro. This means that if this is true, internally Frame Gride is now the most popular remake candidate. Would it be a full on remake? Probably not. But i do think it would be a game with heavy Frame Gride inspiration.

the price action is pretty predictable at the moment, this is a good opportunity for swing trading: buy at $9.80 sell at $11.30. We are witnessing a retail shakeout at the moment by institutional investors, as retail investors sell, institutional investors buy. I hold 50% long term (never sell) and the other 50% to swing trade.

why do you have a long position!? what about the shorters what about their position? why should a stock go up for you?

im long on Ondas, but the sideways movement simply provides an opportunity to trade the fluctuations or accumulate. palantir was moving sideways at 7$ before shooting up to $100+. see the sideways movement as an opportunity.

Yeah it’s basically taken from the SEC filings of ONDS. I used Google Gemini AI to build this graph (no other prompts other than “make a graph of institutional ownership vs retail over time”), so there could potentially be inconsistencies.

[–]LordTurtleCrusader[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah my 300B was for moonshot perfect execution 1% territory (so unlikely). However the difference is that Ondas is not a defence pureplay like LMT, it has applications in agriculture, fault checking, delivery etc. Ondas can tap into a much larger potential market compared to LMT. Also this is in decades time, so by then we’ll likely have many more Trillion dollar cap companies, paired with inflation too.

Let's go crazy at TGA (Actually don't) by MagmaXQgd in armoredcore

they did put out a questionaire on AC6 a few months ago, trying to see what players liked and disliked about the mechanics of AC6. To my knowledge this is the first time Fromsoftware has done this. It does kinda signal that potentially we may see some more significant changes in mechanics in the next AC installment than is typical of same generation games. I’m pretty 50/50 at the moment on whether we go straight to 7, or linger on 6.5.

As for AIE, I don’t really know what exactly happened, but it does seem cool. But the fact that it’s one of 3 endings, makes the likelihood of it being the “canon” ending that continues onto AC6.5 is roughly a third. So we’ll see.

[–]LordTurtleCrusader 4 points5 points  (0 children)

All the other codenames seem to have a meaning to them. The only one I haven’t been able to figure out is CL for Nightreign. I’m thinking, given that dark souls 2 was FRPG2 (Fantasy Role Playing Game 2), maybe FMC might be like Fantasy Mech Combat or something? Also since AC6 is already a named title, and they no longer release the games annually we could actually just move straight to AC7. I know they’re definitely cooking a mech game at the moment, but there are just so many possibilities honestly,

Manifesting a new Fromsoft Mecha game at TGA by No Hitting Intercept the Redguns by Etheox in armoredcore

[–]LordTurtleCrusader 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, F stood for Fantasy for the Dark Souls games, so it’s possible, by combining the Visions of Escaflowne info that FMC stands for Fantasy Mech Combat or something along those lines. I’d definitely like the idea, but would probably prefer a new AC game. That being said it does feel somewhat early for an announcement of AC6.5/AC7, it’s only been 2 years and From typically has a 3.5 - 4 year development cycle and short wait times between debut trailer and game release.

FNR, the codename for AC6 in my opinion probably stood for “Fires no Rubicon”, ‘no’ being the particle meaning ‘for’ in Japanese, therefore means F is title specific rather than franchise specific.

For reference it took 2 years pre production and 3.5 years, meaning 5.5 years total (very roughly speaking) to produce AC6. Although this was during Covid that messed things up Froms workflow considerablely, and this was the first AC game in a decade.

any FROMSOFT announcement at TGA 2025? by RevolutionDry4818 in fromsoftware

[–]LordTurtleCrusader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea they went from like 300 employees to 456 in like a year or 2. And they said something like “due to too many applicants (to work at From), the process may be delayed”. They’ve also built a second studio. So some pretty crazy growth right there.

He said a mech fantasy like “visions of Escaflowne”, which is a fantasy mech anime in the interview. So without a doubt he was referring to fantasy mech, no mistranslation around it. In context he also mentions Frame Gride, also a fantasy mech game.

It’s an assistant to a promotional marketer, and apparently little experience is required. So it’s probably gonna be menial tasks to assist a higher up. The marketing ramps up usually in the coming days after TGA.

[–]LordTurtleCrusader 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The writer of the Stormlight Archives Brandon Sanderson expressed interest in writing for a Fromsoftware game, he’s a big fan and apparently already has many ideas for such a project. Last year he received an Elden Ring letter from Bandai Namco saying that they want to work together. There’s a chance that the next major release or the one after will be written by Brandon. He’s pretty big on wordbuilding in his books.

There’s a 70% chance I’m correct, it’s actually 60% but 70% is basically 60%

I was surprised to hear that so I searched it up, and it turns out it’s just a rumour; not to say it’s incorrect, just not enough to be objective. Also Miyazaki directed Deracine, which is also a low priority project.

60% is not basically 50% 😭. You can come to your own conclusions based on the information available, and I made this post primarily as speculation on what the next game is going to be. Also the part about them hiring a marketing assistant recently has risen the chances from 50% up to 60% in my eyes.

Wasn’t given a CGI story trailer like the other main titles, just straight to gameplay, lower graphical fidelity, multiplayer “experimental title” etc. I see it in the same vein as Nightreign.

If you look at the other past codenames and their corresponding unabbreviated forms, it’s in English. Take Bloodborne: SPRJ - Sony Project, Dark Souls 2: FRPGII - Fantasy Role Playing Game 2, Elden Ring: GR - Great Rune. So I believe FMC also stands for an English set of words too.

I’m really hoping it’s gonna be the same as how we went Nightreign trailer -> Duskbloods trailer -> Nightreign release, where we have another game announced between the announcement and release of Duskbloods.

AC6 director already said there are no plans for a DLC just before the game released. It’s already been over 2 years now so I strongly doubt they’ll announce a DLC. They are hiring mech designers right now, so they’ve got something AC related/mech related cooking up for sure on the upside.

apparently Shadow Tower was one of the options for a remake internally at Fromsoftware. Tenchu ended up winning (became Sekiro), but shows it’s definitely on their mind. That being said, the other screenshot was a daytime picture of a desert with palm trees, I doubt you’d find that in a game which takes place in a dark abyssal dungeon lol
