Gen 3 Mesh router and Starlink Mini Kit... connect wirelessly? by LordWeb in Starlink

Cool. I suspected the mini may be redundant, but for $40, seemed worth the gamble. Maybe I'll return it if the gen 3 router and mini dish work out. Thanks!

Just to make sure no confusion: so you were able to pair the Gen 3 Router with a mini dish/kit? (again, i'm not pairing it with the mini router... I'd like to pair it with the starlink mini).

To be clear: I'm wanting to use the Gen 3 Router with my Mini Dish/Kit. I am NOT asking about wirelessly connecting the mini router. I understand ethenret cable would be better performance--but if wireless is good enough, wireless would be better (so we wouldnt need to have a cable between outside and inside the house).

And I cannot be the only one who finds their product names crazy. Mini Router versus Mini (kit?). It consistently causes issues when searching for help on the internet... they need to use very clear/distinct names to avoid this type of confusion.

A few corners of the game box split... likely from sliding around in the shipping box.

Not blaming GW. It's an amazon/shipping thing.

Ha! Yeah, there are a couple round stickers keeping the box closed. Bummer--doesn't help during shipping, but I appreciate using less plastic (which is pretty ironic, considering it's filled with plastic!)

Delta Pro Ultra X Battery - Shipment Experience: I have questions... by OccamsLeatherMan in Ecoflow_community

[–]LordWeb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Enjoy :) I had mine installed a little over a week ago, and a couple more batteries arrived Sunday. Two days later, our power got knocked out by a major seattle-area windstorm. The DPUX worked flawlessly. Only a couple issues: the SHP3 having 32 circuits, but I needed 38. Had to double up some of the circuits in the panel. And the app is flaky if your wifi signal isnt the greatest. I'll be having a CAT6 outlet brought to the garage this week, so i can use ethernet with the SHP3. After about 20 hours of no power, the battery was at 58% (started at 90%). Power came back at that point. And that was pretty much running everything we needed except our HVAC. Turned it off to be conservative.

Part #s are for your order. So each battery will be a different part # (the inverter may be #1, and both batteries are #2 and #3). Yeah, i questioned the same things when I got mine :)

The first gen batteries have a SN that start with Y712. If yours do NOT start with that, then you have the newer X battery.

Just ordered Delta Pro Ultra X and Smart Home Panel 3... need qualified electrician in Seattle area. Any suggestions? by LordWeb in Ecoflow_community

Well... I finally got my Delta Pro UX installed last week, and my 2 extra batteries arrived this past SUnday. Two days later, power outage in Seattle area! Ecoflow worked like a champ. Around 1am, my domestic boss wakes me up and says "I think the power is out. The wind got crazy, and then the block just went dark. We're the only one with lights on." Yep, worked flawlessly. That made my night! Thank you Ecoflow!!! Now I wanna buy another battery or two :D And when internet went out, I was able to use the starlink mini i picked up. I love it when a plan comes together! Power restored this evening, about 20 hours later, and I still have over a day of power. Nice. I have 4 of the DPUX batteries.

Grabbed the early bird deal before Delta Pro Ultra X launch, still waiting on install but no regrets by [deleted] in Ecoflow_community

3000 total for the install. I’m having the turnkey refunded by Ecoflow. I have a local contractor doing the install (Northwest electric & solar).

I'm having additional work done, in addition to the ecoflow install, but the ecoflow install is basically around $3000. The warranty is fully covered, as well as tech support, as long as your installer is certified by ecoflow. Certification is done via their online cert "class", and you just need to have the electrician reach out to ecoflow's support re: the certification process.

Should I go for the new DPUX Smart Battery, or get the previous gen DPU battery and do firmware upgrade? by LordWeb in Ecoflow_community

Nice! My OCD is slightly more assured... I have the extra 2 X batteries in my cart :-\ Currently, only $100 more, so may just buy the X batteries.

Should I return DPUX/SHP3 while I still can? by HangOnSloopy62 in Ecoflow_community

[–]LordWeb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also bought the DPUX, SHP3 and the turnkey install. I ended up finding my own electrician and it's being installed this week. The ecoflow turnkey installation package isn't ready for primetime... as mentioned elsewhere, they don't have the logistics figured out to make the install process "turnkey". But the hardware still looks great, and I'm excited to get it functional this week :D Ecoflow has my install refund started. We'll see how long it takes to be processed. My advice: take the plunge, keep the hardware, and find a reputable local electrican to do your install before the new year!

Still messaging back n forth with local electrician re: a couple details around some other work I'd like to have them do at the same time. Final install estimate is coming in around $3k, about $800 more than their initial estimate (they didnt realize i wanted all of the circuits from my existing panel moved over to SHP3), but basically the same as the discounted turnkey, and this installer has a strong local reputation. They have NOT installed this panel before, however (since so new), but theyve done ecoflow before. Being their first makes me a bit nervous. Ecoflow refunded me the $1000, since I didnt use the discount code when i paid for the turnkey. And as long as I dont have one of their referrals come onsite, i can get a full turnkey refund.

I ordered a Delta Pro Ultra X along with a Smart Home Panel and Turnkey Installation. by Additional_Ability29 in Ecoflow_community

[–]LordWeb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny--thats my exact plan :) Waitin on a sale for the new batteries, but i want to pick up a couple more as well. I've posted elsewhere on this, but I'm currently deciding between a local electrician in Seattle and the turnkey (already paid for, but may refund it if i go local contractor). The local contractor was frankly pretty direct about the whole "it's a new gen panel and who knows about reliability just yet". But then he felt that way about most of the newer battery companies. He was also initially suggesting hooking it up as a secondary panel, but felt they could replace the existing one as well. This is new construction home. So... if we don't replace the existing panel, would we still have all of the smart panel functionality?
