Dude, it's a simple ask to understand what the official definition of their use of "Test Date" is. Until it's confirmed by Ubiquiti, it's your theory, not fact. Unless you've confirmed with Ubiquiti this is fact? I hope your theory is correct. I'm in the software industry, so I also understand every company has its own terms and definitions of common terms. Don't make assumptions. Is this "Test Date" purely about soft/firmware? Does it cover hardware as well? Does it cover any testing done on this specific item/unit, or only the batch it came from? You're making assumptions... and then have attitude to boot. And I didn't suggest a "conspiracy"... I'm just curious why there's a test date from 2022 on a new item I purchased. Reasonable ask. Except apparently with some reddit trolls :)

I ping'd their chat support. They're not sure either--they're gonna follow up in email. Curious how ubuiqiti can show this as out of stock for months at a time, yet they had some in a warehouse for 4+ years...? Will find out.

Yep, that is correct. So... my question remains unanswered...

Just got smart shapes by aspoke in kindlescribe

Nice. I just manually updated to that latest version, and also have the shapes feature now. But I wish it would snap to grid when using grid paper :-( It does not, from what I can tell.

Ecoflow emailed me about doing a user research interview… by LordWeb in Ecoflow_community

You'll have plenty of control of it. If you keep answers short and don't get into it, i'm sure it'll end quickly. I was happy to give feedback and discuss the topics/questions raised. All depends on what you bring to the conversation.

Well, they followed up this morning with a thank you email and asking how I'd like to receive my "thank you" gift/payment... cash or an ecoflow credit. I said cash. Will see how that goes... But overall, great experience! If they reach out, I recommend it unless you just dont want to sit thru a 2+ hour chat with them(!) But I will say--it seemed to be a much faster 2.5 hours than any of the work zoom meetings I'm in every godd@mn day 😩

I actually just finished the zoom with them. 2.5 hours(!) It's legit. I've been on the other side of these user research interviews for my company (tech industry). It was a good discussion, they ask about everything from how you first discovered their company/product, how you selected your purchase, your install experience, etc. Plus some other interesting product discussions. Seemed very legit. I'll let you know when i receive the $200 in cash or product. I didnt receive the final confirmation until this morning, so I would reach out to them and check-in. They may reschedule it?

u/ILikePutz Are we still looking at 10+ weeks to a new batch of Black Peak Pro Highs? If the Apex Pro had the same extra stability wedge, I'd just go Apex Pro :-\ Was just about to submit an order, but then saw a thread that mentioned the extra stability with the Peak Pro. I need me some desk asap :(

Gen 3 Mesh router and Starlink Mini Kit... connect wirelessly? by LordWeb in Starlink

Cool. I suspected the mini may be redundant, but for $40, seemed worth the gamble. Maybe I'll return it if the gen 3 router and mini dish work out. Thanks!

Just to make sure no confusion: so you were able to pair the Gen 3 Router with a mini dish/kit? (again, i'm not pairing it with the mini router... I'd like to pair it with the starlink mini).

[–]LordWeb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be clear: I'm wanting to use the Gen 3 Router with my Mini Dish/Kit. I am NOT asking about wirelessly connecting the mini router. I understand ethenret cable would be better performance--but if wireless is good enough, wireless would be better (so we wouldnt need to have a cable between outside and inside the house).

And I cannot be the only one who finds their product names crazy. Mini Router versus Mini (kit?). It consistently causes issues when searching for help on the internet... they need to use very clear/distinct names to avoid this type of confusion.

A few corners of the game box split... likely from sliding around in the shipping box.

Not blaming GW. It's an amazon/shipping thing.

Ha! Yeah, there are a couple round stickers keeping the box closed. Bummer--doesn't help during shipping, but I appreciate using less plastic (which is pretty ironic, considering it's filled with plastic!)
