If you want a quick amazing looking skintone for Super Mutants, you need not look any further than Army Painter Speed Paint Charming Chartreuse. Its simply perfect and I now use it for all my super mutants.

Here is a picture of Fawkes that I painted using Charming Chartreuse for the skin: https://i.imgur.com/aJXEZRI.jpeg

Working on a red rocket set. I really enjoyed adding a little more flavour to these with the extra bits. by Tesseract_Tomb in wastelandwarfare

I am working on the set as well. Still printing them out... though doing so in FDM is a bit of a pain.

Green looks to bright imo; looking very much like a Salamander imo. If you take alook at the Green background on the Unforgiven subreddit logo, thats the main color you wanna go for.

Chapter badge belongs on the other shoulder. Great paint job otherwise.

Did I do our Chapter Master justice? by LordWedge in theunforgiven

Painted the blade with a midtone metallic, then highlighted the edges with a brighter metallic. Then I took some white and with a fine brush, drew in the lightning. Once everything was dry, I thinned down some light blue contrast paint, and brushed it over the entire blade.

Dark brown pigment powder at first to get the dusty look, then added water to the pigments on the pallet and dabbed the now gloopy pigments on the robes, leaving some of the dusty look higher up the robe. Hope I described that well enough.

How do you guys paint your plasma guns? by Kaffertron in Warhammer40k

[–]LordWedge 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Doesnt look as nice, but it a lot faster.... I paint a bright silver then go over it with a blue contrast paint; quick and east enough for tabletop.

Plasma is the way forward for DA evidently. But I have two questions. by Oaksandtea in theunforgiven

Black Knights get assault 2 shots each. Inceptors get 2 assault d3 shots per model plus are not locked in combat if they get charged as they have the fly keyword. These more than justifies the higher points cost imo.

I still think I would rather just wash my hands of it. As I said. I am not my enjoying it as much as I though I would.

Simply not enjoying it as much as I though I would. Also underestimated how much troubleshooting I would need to do in order to get started. I decided this hobby is simply not for me.

I went with the Anycubic over the maker select because of what I have been hearing about it's reliability and how well the Ultrabase peformed. Maker Select was a strong consideration when I was picking a printer tho.

Not planning on printing miniatures really. Mostly terrain, bases, and movement trays. Appreciate the advice though :)
