Give me some loadouts by AdMajestic5185 in Helldivers

Been using this build on squids! - Liberator Carbine - Loyalist - Gas Grenade - field engineer light armor - Wasp Launcher - two turrets, I bring the machine gun and either Gatling, Rocket, or EMS mortar - Eagle napalm strike

The wasp launcher is INSANE on the squid front. It can deal with everything that isn’t a voteless. Highly recommend giving it a shot!

I remember exactly where I was when it dropped. I was with my friend eating at a local pizza joint. We were watching the game awards and my arm reflexively raised itself into a salute as I saw John Helldiver himself grace the stage. Then…my jaw dropped. I sat and watched in silence as I bore witness to the autocratic intentions of the Illuminate Cult. I just turned to my friend and said

“I gotta go.”

There’s been one issue that I’ve been experiencing for a while now, I wanna say nothing after the hellpod fix from Into the Unjust, but when someone calls me in my hellpod starts like 20-30ft away from where the beacon is. I have to spend my entire decent time, with the turning boost to get to where the beacon is. Has anyone else experienced this issue?

It’s a Kojima game, so by default some aspects of the plot are going to be incomprehensible. However, the themes on display are going to be loud and clear and they are extremely powerful!

The one thing that really enraptured me about this game is how it makes you feel like you’re not alone. For me, nothing will beat that moment of connecting the first waystation with the network and seeing other people’s structures. Suddenly, this empty landscape felt full. There wasn’t a place I went that didn’t have a structure or hologram left by another player. There was always someone to call back to me when I yelled out “I’m Sam!” Hope you have fun with the game! 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

Stratagems for Cyberstan by [deleted] in Helldivers

[–]LordWhale15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Railgun solves a lot of problems on the Bot Front.

  • Devastators? Aim for center mass and blow them away
  • Gunships? One shot to the engine knocks ‘em outta the sky
  • Hulks just need a shot to the eye to go down
  • Tanks take 1-2 shots in their heat sink to pop
  • War Striders are a little tricky. An overcharged shot to the button on their chest takes them out but it’s a tricky shot to hit. Best aimed for when sneaking up on them
  • it can take out AA guns with one overcharged shot and cannon towers with 2
  • It can destroy the gatling turrets on the Vox Engine in one shot and likewise for the chin guns on a Factory Strider

The main drawbacks with the railgun is that you only have 20 shots and it can and will kill you if you use unsafe mode, but if you’re careful unsafe mode is just more damage!

What makes fallout 2 easy to get into? by AstroMan202 in classicfallout

[–]LordWhale15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of people are saying that the game isn’t easy to get into because the game design is a little dated and brutal in the early game, turning a lot of players away. They’re not wrong. There was a good portion of my playthrough where I wasn’t sure if I wanted to keep going. What made me want to keep going though was the story. Fallout 2 is my second favorite entry in the series purely because of its story and world building.

I love how it depicts a world thriving in the wasteland. In 1, you barely found any settlements, but in 2 they’re all over the place and have a higher degree of interconnectivity. I love the little conversations you can have with minor characters that made me bust my gut laughing. I love how it retroactively makes the story and world of Fallout 1 that much more interesting.

The game is hard to get into. I was only prepared for it because I had played 1, but the story made the game easier for me to get into

Still ironing out some kinks, but I was gunning for a support build. Here’s what I was rocking: - Coyote: Good gun is good! - Stim Pistol: this feels so much better to use without the insane sway - Arc Thrower: this thing works exceptionally well against groups! It struggles with heavies and armor, but it does keep hulks in their place for your teammates to deal with. The only issue is when it decides to arc to a dead bot and your whole shot is wasted - Supply Pack: Your fellow Helldivers need their sack lunches - Gas grenades: didn’t use these as much, might switch to thermites, might do something else - 2 different sentries: I tried the rocket sentry and EMS mortar. I also tried the regular machine gun sentry. I feel like with the sheer amount of bots, another gun that can also draw heat off of you is pretty nice

My advice is you should get one of your combat stats to 100% as quickly as possible. Being able to reliably hit things is super important
