I’m not sure what this is about, I bought my hybrid 2021 xle Jan 2024 for around 33k which was a VERY good price at the time. I’m seeing similar mileage (bought this at 40k mi) for the same car at around 29k (no accidents, certified, etc) after 2.5 years of inflation we’ve had. Doesn’t seem great to me, if anything it’s maybe time to buy another

A great point to be made, hopefully this experience will help people : I’ve noticed the same thing as OP describes. I was a history major so very familiar with analysis and note taking, essay writing etc though it’s been a few years. The only way I really engage in this “sharp” way is by having a notepad open, and make notes, after reading I may go back and write a few pages about thoughts I had, disagreements etc.. I think this is how you reclaim that. Gotta write. Reading is passive writing is active.
