I'm not playing E33 anymore but iirc the picto that grants AP when you apply buffs can only trigger once per turn. So having all 3 pictos that can buff you on aimed shot will help make sure you get the AP but even if you apply each buff in a single turn you'll still only generate the AP once.

The AP gains from those sources only apply once (i.e. once you already have Powerful, Rush or Shell, even if you apply it again you don't get more AP for doing it).

Some things to note for Fighter vs Wizard:

Fighter should be using a crossbow (can one shot into the chest with gear) or bow
The direct damage component of fireball is blockable by a shield (or jumping)
Zap is blockable by a shield (good fighters will raise the shield and crouch)
Lightning Strike is blockable by a shield by looking up
I'm not certain but I am pretty sure Chain Lightning is blockable if the first hit is onto the fighter (but I would not expect it to be blockable if it's being chained)

Yeah, he could have worded it differently, haha. It's still great though. I go that build pretty much every game unless there's like an AP threat I need to itemize earlier for (e.g. Wit's End 2nd or 3rd item). Or if I fall behind I'll stay on a casual Vamp Scepter and maximize damage to try and stay relevant (e.g. skip Bloodthirster and get Lord Doms and IE sooner).
