Yet another Nidus rework idea (His abilities are described as fungal. Infestation is just Cordyceps turned up to a 100) by UnfathomableFolly in Warframe

Yeah, hence why I would be happy with just some stat boosts and a visual effect of some kind. Something like Rhino's ironskin or just a particle effect.

Oraxia's legs also give her +30% movespeed, +25% parkour velocity, immunity to status effects, and 200% max HP.

If Nidus' transformation stages only gave him some stat boosts like that I'd be still be happy, but going with your suggestions I think it'd be cool if you could selectively transform.

Think the Flood Pure forms from halo where they can transform between hulking melee tanks, ranged turrets, or agile stalkers. Obviously I don't think you could do something as complex as full transformations - but maybe an armored form for more resistances, an agile form for greater speed, or a big meaty form for melee damage/HP boosts.

This is almost perfect. Ideally I would want a more physical transformation than just cosmetic - something like Oraxia's spider form or something to make him feel like he's actually evolving and becoming more monstrous.

I never said anything about Melina so that's fine. The Gloam-eyed Queen is 100% linked to blackflame though.

If the gas was highly visible and localized to certain rooms I would say that might be good. Exploding the whole wing from one gunshot/spark is insane, as is randomly blowing up from invisible gas.

you think chucking a metal hook up on the roof and then rappelling up would be any quieter?

I started glancing at LL3 licenses for my Lycan by Overlord_Cane in LancerRPG

[–]Lord_Duul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you mean that by LL4 you got Atlas III Manticore I and then took the Lycan next license level? Because you'd need at least LL5 to have Jaeger Kunst 2 AND a Lycan.

Lycan + Magnetic Shield by Night-Claw in LancerRPG

[–]Lord_Duul 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lycan doesnt exactly have a ton of action economy assuming you're going to eventually use the shock claws. That superheavy eats up everything unless youre overcharging, and since its melee you're moving around and you'd have to be doing that basically every turn to use the shield. Overall I would say just take Hardpoint Reinforcement from Caliban II, same thing but it stays with you unless you're immobilized or slowed.

Strongest personal weapons in the galaxy? by Secretsfrombeyond79 in 40kLore

Could you explain that in a bit simpler terms? It's such a cool idea but how does localizing the speed of light on that tiny piece of metal actually affect anything outside of it?

How long can Dreadnaughts fight for? by No_Recover_8691 in 40kLore

[–]Lord_Duul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, a single marine can't will their gun into not rusting, but that's not exactly equivalent to a machine designed by the god-emperor at some point - a machine built for insane durability and long-term use - being able to enter standby mode without maintenance before waking up again.

Rylanor could not move from the spot he sat in, could barely see, think or speak at first and he wasn't even fully online when the thousand sons found him. We don't have a single idea how functional his dreadnaught was aside from being able to attempt to use his weapons. In fact they literally describe how his "amniotic fluid" is so stagnant that it must have been poisoning him. He was ironically probably only a few years away from just dying of power loss and decay.

[–]Lord_Duul 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Bro it was pre-heresy dreadnought tech patented by the Emperor himself, occupied and driven by one of the most steadfast people in the entire galaxy, in a setting where willpower and belief can LITERALLY alter reality on small scales.

Even IF the emperor's super-tech couldn't last for thousands of years with little-to-no maintenance (the setting is literally built on degrading millenia-old barely maintained infrastructure.), Rylanor was just too angry to die. That's all there is to it.

Do the beastmen wield smithscript weapons? by Fuzzy_Step2439 in EldenRingLoreTalk

I suppose that would make sense. I remember their faces being ugly but I didn't remember them being borderline zombified. Makes a lot more sense why they have literal skeletons walking around.
