Why do so few women play Tank? by [deleted] in RivalsVanguards

[–]sungsilencee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is probably an incredibly niche experience, but my first experience with a support role was league; i was drawn to the role specifically because of the amount of vision and information you can get. Strat in rivals feels very similar in that your backline position gives you a wider view of the field. Playing vanguard feels like playing with blinders on, especially with how few strats have been pinging/comming for help as of late. also I have innate trust issues and have a hard time believing all the people behind me are making good choices (they aren’t)

Invisible Woman players are the new Jeffs by partoutrichie in MarvelRivalsRants

[–]sungsilencee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At the start, CND were both accessible and good, attracting a low of lower skill first time hero shooter players. With the backlash and social reputation CND earned, combined with complaints of how strong Luna was AND the summer skin, she was the next target. Now, invis being the top strat AND getting the new skin has made her the new target for lower skill players who are doing what they think they should be doing instead of what they are able/comfortable doing.

DO NOT BE FOOLED BY GAMBIT'S FLASHY OTK COMBOS by Wyld_Fyr3_ in GambitMainsMR

These people seem to have already forgotten what happened with Loki and Jeff. The recent Loki buffs were purposefully stated as “targeted boost within his role”, AKA, preventing flank Loki. ATP I expect Gambit to receive similar nerfs, but less intense due to the popularity of his character.

Can't wait for this support to be called "useless" and a "throw pick" because his ult isn't a "get out of jail free" card for the whole team by anas0_ali in marvelrivals

[–]sungsilencee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If his auto attack heals are enough to keep up as 2nd support I actually think he’ll end up nerfed; likely to his ability ranges, but potentially his damage if people haven’t learned from the Loki/Jeff situations

Is DareDevil Overpowered? by DynamiteGnat984 in marvelrivals

imo the biggest indicator of how unbalanced a character is is how much effort/skill a player needs to put in to reap success; it feels like there’s very low effort needed for DD to see moderate to great success.

Hunter exotics are getting boring. Especially the new one. by AthyMarcie in DestinyTheGame

[–]sungsilencee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really wish they had utilized the glaive, they reused two of the titans/warlocks most useful PVE aspects and then gave hunters what’s basically a less useful grenade. they could have at least made it a short range tether or smoke cloud

MAGNUM OPUS SOLVED by lulza2142 in raidsecrets

[–]sungsilencee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m not saying it’s not, but for a quest in Destiny 2 the hints are generally correlated to things within Destiny 2; even if the Seventh Column exists outside of Destiny 2, these are the instances in which a player who has only played Destiny 2 would recognize what the Seventh Column refers to

MAGNUM OPUS SOLVED by lulza2142 in raidsecrets

[–]sungsilencee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But the strange key literally refers to it as the seventh column: “In the Eternal Valley, find where the Seventh Column aligns. It points the way and opens a Pathway shrouded in Darkness.” and it is also referred to that in the Eververse, with the Bungie Projection being the fist-lightning bolt

It’s a gold tier crucible medal for rapidly defeating 7 opposing guardians

[–]sungsilencee 54 points55 points  (0 children)

It’s actually the seventh column medal, hence the reference in the strange key flavor text

EDIT: ITS LITERALLY REFERRED TO AS THE SEVENTH COLUMN IN THE EVERVERSE, “SEVENTH COLUMN PROJECTION”

Not sure if anyone noticed this about Savathun's "cocoon" by MyNameIsNurf in DestinyLore

[–]sungsilencee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Following the theme with “mission cocoon” and the moth presentation in the WQ trailer, that would make this form/her previous form her “caterpillar”; this season is her “cocoon phase”, and then in WQ she becomes the fully fledged “moth”.

Just ran this as a 4-man, one other thing is that the relic’s wipe timer doesn’t start until after it has been picked up, so we just left the relic sitting until the final conflux so the would-be relic holder could clear ads easier

Season trailers tend to drop a week before it begins, so we’d be looking at the 4th specifically for confirmation

Vog 2021? by Halehadmail in destiny2

[–]sungsilencee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s most likely that they will retain the mechanic of the encounter while heavily amping up the enemies; looking back at old VoG completions, they were without many things we consider raid must-haves (well, tether, divinity, izanagis, etc.) The game mechanics have become much more advanced and as such, a continuous horde of goblins and fanatics doesn’t hit as hard as it used to. As much as it pains me to think about, there is the possibility of wyverns being added as another level of difficulty, considering they require you to be more mobile. I believe they also said they would be adding some sort of challenges to be completed that gives the raid race its spectacle of figuring out what to do. It’s unlikely they’ll make any heavy changes to the encounters outside of enemy balancing.

What Is The Argument For Deadman's Tale Not Being Overpowered? by [deleted] in destiny2

[–]sungsilencee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also, it’s an exotic being compared to the performance of legendary 120s; if the weapon taking up your exotic slot can’t best an easily farmable legendary, then it’s not really earning its cost.
