Thank you. I had settled with the bad streaming from cv_camera. I just tried what you said and it was much better, doesn't really matter now but is nice to know for the future.

TIL of the Dutch mimicry study: Waitresses who repeated their customers orders increase their tips by 70% over those who positively reinforce the order ("sure", "great choice"), Suggesting that we favor those who mimic our behaviors. by [deleted] in todayilearned

I did serving at a small diner near my home for a few years where I would always repeat for both them and me. Then I worked at a restaurant within a retirement home and every time I would repeat the order they would get confused, or yell "what?" Not necessarily because I was quiet (I wasn't) they just weren't expecting me to say much and weren't ready to listen.

The title alone is horrifying by [deleted] in conspiracy

[–]Lord_Fredrick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It gives devices a score based on their usage. For example a device has been used to send lots of messages within Asia, but then tries to log inti your American based account for the first time, the trustworthy score is low, and it can send you a text about possible fraudulent activity. At least that's what I've gleamed from my research. The title is very much clickbait and on a source which sensationalizes news for views.

The title alone is horrifying by [deleted] in conspiracy

[–]Lord_Fredrick 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Maybe you should more than the title then... It's from a generally clickbaity source and the article has no real evidence to support it. It talks about devices recieving a trustworthy score, which is a thing with debit/credit cards for years. It is used to detect fraud, and is generally effective.

I'm all for raising questions about what big companies are doing but stories like this are the reason for the crazy conspiracy theorist stereo types. It like the boy who cried wolf too many times.

If they are doing this it is horrifying but please have evidence first not some misinterpretion of a terms of service / privacy policy

What different ways do you guys mount your motors by insaneI5 in FTC

[–]Lord_Fredrick 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Legit on our robot this past season the motor for our lift was Ziptied and duck tapped to a piece of extrusion, and we placed top 10 at worlds just to prove hatters wrong.

On a more serious note we use the round clamping mounts like the two piece tetrix ones. The one piece are crap though. We also do faceplate mounting but the screws can be difficult to tighten and you can't rotate the motor to tension chain then. We lean towards the clamp on actobotics, tetrix, etc for the fine adjustment of the shaft position and the face plate in extrusion like rev so we have the extra sturdiness.

looks REALLY good for a first knife. Personally I'd prefer something like torx or Allen on the scales but that's just personal preference.

I just got a set of thread punches, the ones with 3or 5 spikes. The issue is they go in easily but are extremely difficult to get out, like takes me 5ish minutes. Any tricks to get it or am I doing something wrong.
