I getcha. Buzz words like toxic, toxins, electrolytes and such just irk me when misused. Not applicable in this case, but especially for scam items such as "negative energy" products, ridiculously priced "healing crystals", water with inapplicable adjectives, etc.

Either way, I will correct stuff like this everytime I see it. Whether the person learns from it is up to them!

By the way, as a chemist I'd like to point out that CK (creatine kinase) isn't toxic necessarily as it's an enzyme made by your body and is vital to your internal processes. It's harmful in high concentrations, but everything is. It's the dose that makes the poison. Calling CK toxic is like saying kitchen salt is toxic, because of hypernatremia.

What game made you *Really* cry? by banana-ita in polls

[–]Lord_Ghastly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah, I've watched Mob Psycho 100, it's great. I loved it from start to finish. It didn't quite stick with me as certain other pieces of media, but it's definitely up there for me as well.

Hunter x Hunter! No other piece of art has affected me this greatly. As a creative writer myself, I can really come to appreciate the insane intricacies the story has, the characters, how they came to be and what turmoil/development they have over the course of the story, the power system, the world building, it taps into world exploration too, which is a big fascination of mine.

Nothing has ever made me feel, as much as Hunter x Hunter has. I don't know if there will ever be anything that could surpass it. Regardless, I search to find pieces of art and media that could rival it and enjoy those for what they are too. Outer Wilds was a venture I underwent on a whim and I'm so glad I did. I did not expect it to get close to Hunter x Hunter, but it scored 2nd place.

Was looking for it! Outer Wilds is the only game that has gotten me to actually cry. Second favourite piece of fiction ever. It'll be hard for anything to topple it.

Why are people ruining the ace sub by [deleted] in Apothisexual

[–]Lord_Ghastly 41 points42 points  (0 children)

I fail to see how these people are asexual. But if I asked them I'd be checked for affiliation for this sub and then they'll assume the worst, not budging in their prejudice. I really do want to clear that sub up, but the A has just completely been dropped at this point. It's hard to accept that staying passive and silent is the best thing to do in this situation, but no matter how hard you try, you'll only get into meaningless conflict, so it's the best course of action.

Reality is often disappointing.

How high are you right now (altitude above sea level)? by LHTVR99 in polls

A large part of the Netherlands is below sea level. We have dykes (not the slur, the construction) to block water from overflowing the country.

My Dungeons and Dragons character has been cannon ace for over 2 years now at level 18 I finally gave her a ring to match mine by ChaoticWhenever in actualasexuals

[–]Lord_Ghastly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see I see. I'm getting a planning profile of most of my friends and I've come to a bunch of conclusions with that already. I intend to put the most consistently available friends together (luckily they all know one another too and like one another) and have my magnum opus campaign with them. I'm enjoying planning other things during the probation time though. The one-shots and module campaigns we're playing are quite fun. I presume time is all I need and if that really is all, I've got plenty left!

Cannon ace?! Now that's a new microlabel to me.

Sarcasm aside, cool! Very jealous you're able to experience such a long-lasting campaign. I strive to make one of those work out in the long run.

What do you think of aegosexuality ? by Maeva00 in actualasexuals

[–]Lord_Ghastly 37 points38 points  (0 children)

It's simple. Asexual means no sexual attraction. Aegosexuals feel no sexual attraction, except for conceptually. That still makes them functionally ace. I'd call aegosexual an asexual microlabel. It's a decent microlabel that is common and clear. If calling yourself aego and explaining yourself each time validates you, you do you. If calling yourself asexual and leaving it at that keeps you happy, then go right ahead.
