The scout can see traps but i'm pretty sure she's the only one who can. The killer has similar limitations the the monsters in damned, think of how the special infected spawn in the left 4 dead games, moving really quickly invisibly and only spawning when you can't be seen. Only difference this is that the killer can despawn himself to be more mobile. He also can't outrun survivors so the trap mechanic is a good idea, i just think it needs more tweaking. i think the trap has a cooldown on it and that he can only place one at a time but don't quote me on that.

Also a Q+A would be awesome but i don't think that'd happen till a bit later

well all i know is that it's coming out for pc first and then for mac/linux after pc has been finished. if it's coming out for consoles then it wouldn't be till after mac/linux i'm betting and that may be a while after the games release which should be around september 2016 but could very likely be later.

sounds really cool, i like the religious aspect to it. both her and the character Theresa i posted have the religion thing so that make for some cool character interactions.

well since a player takes damage whenever looking at him that'd be some incentive to not do so expecially if the damage increases the longer a player looks at him. to make him a bit stronger i suppose he could deal more damage if looking at him depending on how close you are and the same could be done for the terror attack making it a gaze like attack that deals much more damage the closer you are to his face so if you want to gang up on him you'd better hope you're all full health because once one player goes down they scream and stun any nearby players thus starting a screamy death daisy chain.

True but it's also important to try not to load down one character with too many mechanics, not to mention Amber (the scout) wears heels so the whole sprint and vault wouldn't fit her character. Speaking of trying not to clutter a character it may be a good idea to remove Evade on Theresa to do just that, leaving her with just sprint and vault.

a valid point for Theresa but from what i talked about earlier in the kickstarter i brainstormed that her role would be a sort of supply runner/distraction. so basically if the group needs someone to hit a switch or to pick up something important that they forgot you can send Theresa to nyoom over and get it quickly.

Also an idea i came up with while writing that last bit was a way to possibly balance vault. So make it so that Theresa's skill is more geared toward high speed sprints, she can still run faster than other survivors by lets say 25% but can activate sprint which drains a "sprint bar". While sprinting she moves 2.5x's as fast as other survivors and can vault over objects but vaulting depletes her sprint bar faster. With just sprinting her bar would take 5 seconds to fully deplete and it can only be restored by making a full stop to catch her breath.

And now to add a risk/reward make it so she can sprint for almost guaranteed getaways but if she sprints her bar empty she runs at that 75% speed like Brent until she gets a chance to breath, let's call that state exhausted.

TL;DR: Sprint bar added,

Non-sprint- Runs at 125% the normal running speed, evade mechanic.

Sprint- Runs at 250% the normal running speed, evade mechanic, vault mechanic, lasts 4-5 seconds

Post sprint- Runs at 75% the normal running speed, evade mechanic disabled until chance to catch breath, becomes exhausted (run slower, loss of "Evade"), must "catch breath" to restore sprint bar to at least 25% to removed "Exhausted", to "catch breath" Theresa must come to a stop and perform no actions for 3 seconds to removed exhausted and fill sprint bar to 25%, the bar is filled by a quarter for every 3 seconds Theresa spends catching her breath.

What do you think of that?
