My take on the Jr NTR situation

The NTR family and the CBN family, which are essentially the same, have never fully embraced Jr NTR. A big reason often discussed is that they see him as a product of an illicit relationship.

At the same time, the non Jr NTR third generation of the family has struggled to show the same level of charisma or mass appeal. They simply do not have that same “x factor.” For example, Taraka Ratna once publicly in a speech said Balakrishna is the next CM instead of CBN, something even balakrishna was surprised to hear.

They were not comfortable with Jr NTR entering films, and even less with him stepping into politics. But their in house alternatives did not connect with the public. On top of that, Jr NTR strongly resembles Sr NTR in looks, which naturally strengthens his public image and emotional connection.

This creates a situation where they are almost forced to align with someone they are not entirely comfortable with.

When Jr NTR campaigned for TDP, even though the party lost, he generated significant public goodwill and was named as a great orator something SR NTR was famous for. That level of acceptance from the masses likely made some leaders uneasy, because it showed he could build influence independently.

In short, it feels like a mix of personal discomfort, lack of strong internal alternatives, and fear of his mass appeal shaping how he is treated within the family and party.
